Troubleshooting
What is the password?
- There is a password for the answer pages. The universal answers password is parentsonly – all one word, all lowercase. The answers page password is NOT the password that you created for your online account, and it cannot be changed to something else.
- Check the answers in a different browser or on a different device than what your student uses for school to make sure that the password isn’t saved on the browser and device that your student uses.
Where do I register?
- My EP Assignments allows you to create a family account (for up to ten students) and log in each day to see your students’ assignments. We are not keeping any records for your children, though. The login is only so that your computer knows who you are. You are responsible for all record keeping. The All-in-One courses are free and available to use without registration. My EP Assignments is a website that you can use for free to plan your children’s course schedule and then it will give your child their daily lessons. Go here to register and make an account. It will ask you to consider making a donation. Those donations are Lee’s income. Her and her husband’s only work is EP.

How do I get started with the curriculum?
- The Overview page has a lot of information.

What level should my child be on?
- EP provides placement resources for math, reading, and language arts. These are just guides, not law. There is also a placement test for newcomers to help you find the best fit in our curriculum.
- You can mix and match levels. In general, I don’t suggest choosing a higher reading level than your child’s natural grade level. While they may be excellent readers, the subject matter in books for older students may not be appropriate for young readers.
- My personal suggestion is to place your child where they will be successful. If it’s too hard, they will shut down. Find where they are successful and move on from there. Just keep taking steps forward and you’ll always be moving in the right direction.
- There aren’t placement tests for high school. Most students follow a typical order of courses that you can find here: High School Courses.
Which history theme should we choose?
- That’s your decision. You can start anywhere you like, but if you don’t know what to pick just start at the beginning with ancient history. If you recently did ancient history with a different curriculum, choose Early American History. They pretty much go in order, so I do recommend that wherever you begin, you continue from there, cycling back to ancient history after modern. Learn about the themes here.
How many lessons are we supposed to do each day?
- EP has DAILY subjects (Math, Language Arts, Reading, History, Science, Bible) that are designed with 180 lessons. Do one “lesson” each day.
- The WEEKLY courses (Art, Music, PE/Health, Computer, Thinking) are designed to be done one lesson a week for 36 weeks.
- Of course, you are the teacher and you are welcome to move through the lessons at your student’s pace, whether that’s slower or faster than how the lessons were designed.
- (Math 5/6 is an exception to this. The course description for that course has tips/instructions about pacing the lessons.)
- In high school, all the subjects are daily.
What courses should I choose?
- If you choose a LEVEL and a THEME, you are getting the full curriculum as it was originally designed, and you do NOT need to use any additional individual courses/subjects.
- You can certainly just choose a course from the site menu, but it’s much easier to use My EP Assignments and select any course or set a level and get the complete curriculum. Then your child will get delivered their daily lessons from the courses you chose.
- Here is a list of the THEMES and a list of the high school courses in their recommended order. Don’t forget the placement resources for choosing individual course levels.
What supplies do I need to start using Easy Peasy?
- Your child just needs basic tools: pencil, scissors, glue, crayons or colored pencils.
- There are links to “materials needed” lists at the top of each course page.
- Students need at least one spiral notebook or binder and paper to be able to write down anything necessary from the lessons.
Where are the tests?
- The tests are in high school. High school courses have quizzes, midterms, finals, grading rubrics, and grade sheets.
- If there isn’t a test there, then there is no test. Why do you need a test? You are with your child every day and probably already know his or her strengths and weaknesses.
- Lower levels do not have grades or tests built into the curriculum. If your student’s assignment includes a “quiz,” that should be used as a learning tool, not as a knowledge assessment.
- You could use a grading sheet if you want to keep grades before high school; however, I personally DO NOT recommend keeping any grades unless you are required to.
- We have no records of your children’s scores for any activities done on the site.
Where are the answers?
- If it says “answer,” then there is an answer there. It could be a link, or it could look like the example below.

It’s the middle of the school year. What lesson do we begin with?
- That’s your decision. You can feel free to start on Lesson 1, or you can start wherever you need to in order to finish the year when you want to.
- Check the individual course pages to read the course descriptions to see if you think it’s something you can jump into the middle of. You are already jumping into the middle of the curriculum (having not started with EP’s Preschool levels), so either way there may be some things you will need to teach or review with your child to help them fit in with whatever they are studying.
- If you start in the middle, don’t do it without thought. Don’t just pick a lesson number. Look and see what makes sense, like not right in the middle of a novel. Look for the beginning of a new unit in science and history. You can be on different lesson numbers in different courses.
Will this curriculum work for my child who has ADD, ADHD, Asperger’s, Autism,..?
- Easy Peasy is a FREE curriculum that you can try at any time. We continually hear reports of students who are very successful using Easy Peasy when no other curriculum has worked. Take a break from what you are using, or use the summer to try it for yourself to find out. There is no harm in trying. No size fits all; every child is different.
- Join our Special Kids Facebook group to meet other families in a similar situation. I personally have three children with autism.
What are the two Learn To Read courses?
- There are two Learn To Read courses: Sight Reading and Phonics.
- Sight Reading – Learn to Read includes sight word memorization lessons (from the McGuffey’s Eclectic Primer, revised edition) and sight reading practice lessons (from the McGuffey’s Eclectic First Reader, revised edition).
- Phonics – Learn to Read teaches phonics.
- They are both part of EP’s Kinder courses, but they are also recommended for older kids who are not ready for EP’s Reading 1 course, which includes chapter books and novels around a 2nd – 3rd grade reading level.
- You can find both of the LTR courses in the Learn To Read With EP offline book.
How does middle school math work?
- The elementary math courses are Math 1-4 (for 1st – 4th grade). There are 3 middle school math courses: Math 5/6, Math 6/7, and Pre-Algebra.
- Math 5/6 is a self-paced math foundations course with 139 lessons usually taken in 5th or 6th grade. Your student should spend as much time as they need to master each lesson. At the beginning, they may be able to do multiple lessons each day, but they will likely come to lessons that require them to spend more than one day to learn and master. Make sure you read the course description for more information about that! Some kids can finish Math 5/6 in a few months; others may take a year or more. When your student finishes Math 5/6, they are ready for Math 6/7.
- Math 6/7 is a typical EP course with 180 daily lessons. It’s usually taken in 6th or 7th grade.
- Pre-Algebra follows Math 6/7 and is usually taken in 7th or 8th grade. It’s followed by Algebra, which you can find on the high school curriculum website.

What do I do if the lesson numbers aren’t moving forward on their own?

EP Online
What are the Levels 1 – 4 and Levels 5 – 8 for?
- There are two levels of assignments available for the theme courses (history, science, etc.). Levels 1 – 4 is for the elementary level, grades 1 through 4. Levels 5 – 8 is for the middle school level, grades 5 through 8.
What does * and (*) mean?

- The * indicates that there is a worksheet to print, or that you can find a worksheet for that lesson in your Printables book. The (*) means that it is optional. You don’t need to print it to complete the assignment.
Where can I find all the printables in one PDF for a level?
- You’ll find course worksheet PDF packets at the top of each course page if they exist. They are FREE to print. You do not have to buy them. Let us know if you find someone selling them!
How do I homeschool multiple levels of children? I have more than one child and they are all different ages and abilities. I only have one computer.
- Consider doing some or all of your school offline. In the EP Store you can purchase books containing 180 days of assignments for your child’s level in math, reading, and language arts. Genesis Curriculum is Lee’s offline curriculum for history and science which allows for all your children to learn together.
- If there is a will, there is a way! Many families homeschool more than one child with ONLY one computer; while one is doing math on the computer, the others are working on worksheets, reading, chores, correcting yesterday’s work, practicing their instrument(s), cooking/baking, or even playing. Bible can be completed first thing in the day together. Later in the school day, the theme subjects (history, science, art, music, PE) can be completed together as a family. Most families find that school lasts anywhere from 2-4 hours, giving you more time to explore other areas of interest. It’s Easy Peasy! What’s the difference between Printables and Workbooks?
- PRINTABLE books include all the worksheets you need to complete the online course (not daily worksheets, just what worksheets they are asked to complete as part of their online assignments). You can print them at home yourself using the free PDF packets or purchase them as bound books.
- The WORKBOOKS contain all the same printable worksheets but also have a worksheet for every day of the 180-day course. (Do NOT buy both the Printables book and the Workbook.) You can use the Workbook along with the online course and have some extra worksheets, or you can use the Workbook along with the PARENT’S GUIDE and have a complete offline course.

Do you have high school courses?
- Our high school courses are on the High School site. We have four full years of courses available. Please join our high school level Facebook group.
Where are the answers?

Is EP Accredited?
- Only schools are accredited. Curricula and materials are never accredited. EP is a curriculum, NOT a school, so EP is not accredited. Homeschoolers are not required to enroll in an accredited school.
Will these courses count for high school credit?
- Yes! Thousands of homeschoolers in all 50 US states use EP for high school. Every state has its own homeschool requirements. Join your EP state group to find out what your state’s requirements are. The site is geared to meet Pennsylvania’s requirements. It has 180 days of assignments for 1 credit courses. In some states your child could play video games for four years and you could call him a high school graduate. My state, Pennsylvania, is not one such state. Here they have guidelines for what “counts.” To count as a completed high school course in PA, a student can do ANY of the following: complete two-thirds of a textbook, have 120 daily logged entries, have 120 hours of logged study, complete a ten-page research paper, complete a college course, or pass an AP exam. If you follow Easy Peasy, you’ll have 180 “daily logged entries.” You’ll be way ahead of the game.
- In most states, the homeschool parent/teacher keeps all the required records, creates the student’s transcript, and issues the diploma when the student graduates. A couple states will actually provide a diploma to homeschool grads if they meet certain criteria. Your EP state group can let you know if that’s an option where you live. Read this page about homeschooling high school and preparing for college for more info.
- NOTE! Most public high schools will not accept any high school credits earned from homeschool and may make a transferring homeschool student start over as a 9th grader. Enrolling a child in high school can be difficult after 9th grade. Each school has the authority to accept or reject your credits. It is recommended that if you begin earning high school credits while you are homeschooling, you should plan to continue through graduation. All branches of the military and most colleges accept homeschool graduates at an equal level with public and private school grads, so graduating from homeschool is not a disadvantage for post-high school plans.
Is EP accepted by the NCAA?
- EP students have received NCAA scholarships. The NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) doesn’t pre-approve curriculum, so I can’t say that your EP courses will definitely be accepted. I have talked with them and written them and filled out forms, so they should have on file that we are a curriculum. Someone had run into trouble before because they labeled us a virtual program. They had a hard time understanding what EP is. You are in charge of grading your child’s EP courses. The online graded quizzes are really like an answer key in the back of the book. You are the one writing the grade down and giving your child each grade. It’s important that you describe your use of EP as if it were similar to a textbook. There’s something to read and questions to answer and answers provided, but you are the teacher (even if your child works independently) and you are in charge of grading and transcripts, etc. If you say you aren’t the teacher, you can’t get the credit awarded. You are the teacher. There is no other teacher interacting with your child. They will ask for books used. You can list the site. Don’t list something like Georgia Virtual. That will just confuse them. I would say something like “more than 350 links were used,” rather than trying to list anything specific other than our website.

What books do I need to buy?
- You don’t need to buy anything to use the free, complete online curriculum. If you have a computer, internet access, and a printer, you are set!
- To make things easier, some people prefer to buy the low-cost printables instead of printing all the worksheets for the online lessons themselves.
- Some subjects have books available for people who prefer to work offline. You can find those books in the EP Store.

What’s in the Readers?
- For the Reading courses, the EP Readers include all the reading assignments and reading content for the whole year, the directions and the poems, short stories, novels, etc.
- There are supplemental EP Reader Workbooks with extra vocabulary and spelling worksheets that you can use alongside both the online and offline courses. The Reader Workbooks are optional and not needed for completing the course. You can find samples of the Reader Workbooks here.
What’s the difference between EP’s Preschool and Kindergarten courses and Genesis Curriculum’s Steps books?
- EP’s Preschool course has a Printables book (for online) and a complete Workbook (for offline).
- Kindergarten has an offline reading book and an offline handwriting book, but Kinder Math is online. If you want to be completely offline for Preschool and Kinder, you could use the Genesis Curriculum GC Steps books. They include all the same reading, handwriting, and math content as the EP online courses, but the sequencing is different.

- Join your state group. Find out your state’s requirements. Connect with local homeschoolers.

Does this meet my state’s requirements?
- Easy Peasy is used by families in all 50 states and around the world. Every state has their own requirements. Learn your state’s requirements at HSLDA. (Google that with your state name.) You can also join your EP state group to ask specifically about how to use EP in your state.
- Easy Peasy was made to meet Pennsylvania’s requirements. It has 180 days of assignments for all core subjects and includes all the extras like art and music. In addition to the standard subjects, it covers civics in Theme 2 and fire safety each year. Pennsylvania is one of the stricter states, though not THE strictest.
I have questions about pulling my child out of school.
- Here’s a page with some questions and answers about pulling out of school to start using Easy Peasy.
I have questions about putting my child back into school.
- We understand that for some families homeschooling is a temporary choice. If you think you will be re-enrolling in a public or private school in the future, you will want to contact the school directly (now!) and ask them what the process for that will involve. There isn’t one standard process for accepting transfer students.
- Most elementary and middle schools will place by age. Some will use a placement test. Some will request a report card from the homeschool parent. Easy Peasy is not a school and does not keep records for your student. EP cannot provide report cards or completion certificates or transcripts. If the school asks for a report card, the homeschool parent will need to provide that. Just create it. Search for a template online.
- Most public high schools will not accept credits earned while homeschooling and will make your student repeat classes for credit. Some students have been able to test out of courses that they completed as homeschoolers. It is recommended that if your student begins homeschooling during high school, they should plan to continue until graduation. Most homeschoolers are given a diploma from their homeschool parent when they graduate. Homeschool transcripts are accepted by most colleges and all branches of the military. We have sample transcripts and transcript templates on our site. Here’s the page with more information on diplomas and transcripts.
My child was bullied. My child was emotionally abused in school.
- I’m sorry for what your family has gone through. Give your child a hug and extra patience. Praise them often. Tell them how great they are. Encourage the things they are good at. Be patient with the struggles. Take a step forward each day.

I have have a 2nd grader and 6th grader… can they do the same History, Science, Art, PE, etc courses? How do I know what level to choose?
They can study the same topic, but the 6th grader will go more in-depth than the 2nd grader at the 5-8 level. Ultimately it’s up to you if you want to keep them both in the 1-4 level or mix and match from both levels. But the way it’s designed, they’d use the same topics, but the 2nd grader would do the 1-4 level and the 6th grader the 5-8 level.

I really thought this would be so easy. Level 8. Nothing to buy, we can print the pages but when I click “Pintables” it takes me to buy the books. I have watched him do the work -6days worth-but nothing is advancing no points awarded.

Our courses start at preschool and go all the way through high school. If your 5-year-old knows all letters and sounds, you can start at the kindergarten level. Otherwise, back up to preschool to get that foundation.
Im just wondering, do we have to print off printables or is everything done online?
The Printables are intended to be printed (or purchased from Amazon if preferred). But you can use the curriculum however you’d like to. If you want to look at the worksheet on the screen and figure out a way to work it out on extra paper, that’s entirely up to you.
Can’t thank you enough for this curriculum. It’s made our family closer because the children get to work together on a subject instead of fighting for time to get help on assignments.
I noticed you have a separate spelling class that I will use this year. It doesn’t seem to be included when I page through the language arts in myEP can you help me find it or make it available?

I’m so glad to hear it’s had a positive effect on your family. On My EP, spelling is the first thing in any of the Electives blocks. When you add the Electives block, if it doesn’t say Spelling in the added course block, click on Previous course.

Please be sure you’re using an elective block. It’s the very first course in that block. It’s not in the language arts block.

No, we don’t keep any records. You can take screenshots or print things out throughout the year if your state requires proof of some kind.

Hello. I am looking for the Christian side of things. I went to get books but don’t see anything for history or Bible or Christian. I could only find history in the printable section and it says next to the Bible section that they are included in the history theme workbooks in the store but the books that takes me too all say printables. So I’m a little confused. Is history only something that can be done online with the printables or is the books the link takes me to, to buy on Amazon that says printables really a workbook?
Our curriculum is an online curriculum. Over the years, we’ve made a few courses available as offline options, but the majority of our courses (including history and Bible) are online-only. You can print or purchase as a bound book the worksheets that go along with the online course, but the rest of the course will still be online.

HI!! About how long relatively does it take for one child to complete the day of work? I am aware each child is different and takes more time than others but just trying to “roughly” plan my day since I will be having 3 using 1 computer. I am doing Easy Peasy this year for my 3 children and just purchased the printable books on Amazon. I am soooo very excited and thank you so much for this wonderful blessing in our lives. We would not have been able to pull our children from public school without this affordable easy blessing. God bless you!! Generally speaking, around 30 minutes to an hour total for kindergarten, 20-30 minutes per subject for elementary, up to 45 minutes to an hour per subject for high school. Like you said, it will completely vary depending on the work ethic/focus/ability or the student, but those are rough time frame averages.
Can a Student work ahead? Say they finish Day 1, can they go on to Day 2, Day 3 in the same day?
Yes, the lessons are self-paced. If you click “show did more” on your settings page, you can mark multiple lessons of individual subjects before marking the entire day complete and moving everything forward. The info page linked on your settings page has a video you can watch about it as well.

I was wondering if maybe sometime in the future, there could be an option where parents can leave notes to their student/s either in each subject or somewhere in the section where they check off their work. I think it would be good to leave words of encouragement or reminders to the students.

We do have on our list of feature request things like parent notes, whether encouragements, reminders, or alterations to the assignment. Everything we store costs a little more money, so we have to think about adding something like that and what the impact would be, but it’s something we do have in mind. What you can do for now, is add a Parent Add-On and use the course title to leave a note or make a webpage and link to it and change it with what you want to say that day. Then it would be part of their school day each day.

my kids have been doing this a month and i still dont understand the grade part that we have to send in and how do the graduate from this school i have one kid in 9th and one in 7th

My son is beginning his senior year, so I signed him up with Easy Peasy to do Spanish and US Government and other subjects like Bible Studies too. Was wondering if you have US Government as an option. I couldn’t find it in the curriculum. Maybe I’m not know how to find it.

My child will be starting school for the first time. He is six. He is level 1 for everything, but I had to start him off with the sight words/phonics and also kinder reading. Is this ok? Also, is there anyway I can do reading 1 and language 1 during the summer or something to catch up so that next year he will be on level 2 for everything? What do you suggest? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just start where you are and move forward. When you finish, just move forward with the next thing. Reading 1 is reading novels, something they wouldn’t start I don’t think until third grade in public school. You are not behind. You can look at Kinder Writing and Language Arts 1 and use what’s appropriate for your child.
How do I find the password for the answer keys?

It sounds like your browser is storing it. Clear your cache and it will go back to requiring the password. Then in the future use a different browser or device to check the answers on OR clear your cache each time you check the answers if you need to use the one used for school to do so.
I’m looking into withdrawing my child from school and have questions. Will they receive a diploma when this is completed and able to go onto college? I’m so confused. I’m just looking for other educational options.

There aren’t enough worksheets in the course to warrant a book. The worksheet is linked right there in lesson 2 or you can just use a notebook to write the words down.

Go to your settings page and click “set level and theme” and choose level 8. You can also adjust any individual level by selecting “previous course” or “next course” if the 8th level courses need to be adjusted in any way for your student.
How do I change my password? How do I create a password for my children to be able to answer questions?
Your My EP Assignments password can be changed on the settings page. The site password for answers is universal and cannot be changed. It’s at the top of this page – parentsonly – all one word, all lowercase.
Hi, I am having a similar issue where my child is able to see the answer links within his assignments for all of his classes. He is using a different computer than I am when I set everything up but when I logged into his assignments on his computer for the first time, the answer links were there and available for him to click on.
Any help in trying to hide those links is greatly appreciated.
The answer links will be a available on high school courses because many of our high schoolers are utilizing the curriculum independently and need access to the answers.
On lower level courses, the answer links will be password-protected unless they are intended to be available to the student for learning purposes.
The answer links cannot be hidden – they’re just part of the curriculum.

I love your site so far! When I first saw it I thought free is never free and if it is its garbage. Boy was i wrong! So far it exactly what it says. Easy Peasy! Very easy to set up and navigate so far. I have one question. In checking out my child’s lesson there were answers. When i clicked it it brought me to an answer key for quizzes! Is there a way to turn it off?

The lower level classes have answers that are password-protected. We recommend checking the answers from a different browser or computer than the one used for school in case your browser stores the password. The high school courses have answers available so your student can be independent in their work (like textbooks that have answers in the back.) I require that my students show their work so that I know they understand the process of reaching the answer and aren’t just copying it down and moving on.
I’m not understanding. I didn’t set up a password. We just logged in and clicked my sons folder. In his lesson there is answer there. He clicked it and it gave him the answer. Same for quiz.
You don’t set up the password. It’s universal. Is your son taking Algebra? That’s a high school course and the answers will be available to the student for all high school courses.
Under parent settings, my children are enrolled in the once a week courses. Today should be Art, but it is not showing up on their student page. I deleted the core classes because we are doing those offline with the books. Was I supposed to leave those on their pages? Just not sure why the once a week courses are not showing up. Thank you
Those show up based on the day number at the top of the page, not the calendar date. That way weekends, holidays, any breaks you take don’t cause you to miss assignments.

Only certain levels of math, reading, and language arts are available completely offline. Everything else (science, history, Bible, music, art, PE/health, thinking, computer) is only available online.

Hi, I was just wondering if the courses under “links to other courses” (for example, crash course film making) is worth any credit. Sites like Saylor.org have it listed if you search for it in the link, but some of the parent submitted courses don’t.
In a homeschooling situation, in most states the parent or homeschool guardian determines the credit. As a general rule of thumb for high school, 120-180 hours of work is a worth 1 credit.

I’m just wondering why 2nd grade has to take biology and Ancient history & those subjects that don’t pertain to 2nd grade.
You can choose any of the 4 themes for second grade. There’s not one specific to second grade, but there are 4 choices for levels 1-4 and 4 choices for levels 5-8.

There is no grading in that course. If you want to use a blank grading sheet, give yourself 5 points for every completed lesson and take off a point for anything skipped in any lesson.

We already have Lit and Comp 1 and Algebra 1 as offline courses, completely in books. And we’re continuing from there, so we’re ready for you! If you know where you saw that we didn’t have high school books (used to be true), let me know so I can edit that note.
Great to hear! I didn’t see anywhere that it mentions that high school is not offered in book format. When looking ahead I just noticed that after Algebra I and Lit and Comp 1 that the rest of the subjects for high school are only offered in online format. So I thought I would just look into if at any point more high school courses would be offered in book format at some point.
How do we go in and check the students work? Is this an option?
Easy Peasy doesn’t save any work. We have some suggestions you can use such as having your student keep tabs open for you to check, taking screenshots of their completed activities showing their work on paper, or even just leading questions from you “What did you read?” “What did you learn about in history?” etc. It becomes apparent very quickly what they absorbed and what they might have skipped or blown through even when you’re just asking questions.

There aren’t usually password-protected answers in Bible. If the word “answer” is followed by a blank white space, click and drag to highlight the white space and the answer will appear. See the “where are the answers?” question above on this page if I’m not making it clear.
Hello. New to this program and wondering how do I go back to a specific day to check my daughters work if I didn’t have time to check it on that day and is on another day now.
You can click the course title from your parent settings page to go to the entire 180 lessons at any time. Just scroll to the lesson you need to look over.
Easy Peasy is just a curriculum (like a set of books) and doesn’t save any work. That would be up to you/your student to do via screenshots, working on a piece of paper, leaving tabs open, etc.
Can parents remove or move the time for a break button that shows up when the child views their lessons?
No, it automatically goes in the middle of the lessons, putting one more before it if it’s an odd number of lessons. What are you wanting to do? I can put on the feature request list to have a remove option, or let me know what the issue is. I just think it’s great for kids and you can order the courses to what you want done before they get there.
I have a morning time before we do EP and we already have a break . I do think it’s good for kids to have a break I think it just might be good for parents to be able to add/ remove or move it. I love this program thank you.

Hi, i signed my daughter up using this curriculum for 7th grade.. when i go to the parent setting all the classes appear but when i go to her profile none of the once a week classes are comming up. Please help im so confused and thank u from the bottom of my heart for this curriculum..
The once-a-week classes will only appear on her page on the day they are assigned. They are based on the day number at the top of her page, not the calendar date. Music appears on days ending in 1 or 6. Computer appears on days ending in 2 and 7. Art appears on days ending in 3 and 8. Thinking appears on days ending in 4 and 9. PE/Health appears on days ending in 5 and 0.
Is there a link to print math printables for level 5?

I was wondering how you are able to view that your child scored if they do the assignment online? I want to make sure that I am looking through what my child is working on, in case she’s just moving forward and not learning the concept. We are new to this and I appreciate this curriculum, my daughter really seems to like it, but its important to me to be able to see how she is doing.
I would ask her to keep tabs open or teach her to take a screenshot. Easy Peasy is just a curriculum and has no way of keeping track of what/how your child is doing.
Quick question: Am I correct in believing that I, as a parent, create one account (email and password), add my child as a student, and then the student logs in with my parent account? and by doing so, he has access to everything I have access to? Is that correct?
You are correct. Your student will click on their name to see their assignments. My EP Assignments is essentially a digital bookmark, keeping track of where you are in the curriculum. It doesn’t keep records, store answers, or anything like that. The worst thing a curious kid could do if they want to your parent settings page would be to “move the bookmark.”
Under the extras page and add on classes, are you still planning on including a once-a-week class bookmark? Then the parent can choose the day it will only appear, the day they are assigned.

I would like to start by saying we love this curriculum and how easy its made homeschooling for our family! We are trying to get some info or help with Level 3 Reading. We have come to a place which has a worksheet * and I am not seeing a workbook or printables for this assignment. I checked in the Language Arts book to see if it was in there and did not see it. There is no printables book for Reading 3. If you have the offline Reader, you can just follow the readings in that. If you’re using the online course, you can print as you come to the worksheets or you can just do them on a separate sheet of paper if you don’t have a way to print them. They are not owned by us and not something we can compile and sell.
The art worksheets are included in the history printables books since the art courses go along with history. Or they can be printed from the print page or as you come to them in the course.
Hello. I have an 8th grader that I pulled out of public school this year. When I did the Language Arts assessment and Reading assessment I had to place him in a 5th grade level. He has no knowledge of grammar except what a noun is. He was an honor roll student at school. Obviously there are holes in his education that I need to fix. Going forward for high school next year would you suggest going into level 6 or starting Literature and Composition 1? If I do keep him at level 6 does that still count as credits for high school Language Arts?
(I live in New Jersey which is an easier state as far as homeschool rules go)

Literature and Composition I has a good bit of grammar review if you want to look through it and see what you think. You could always use individual lessons from previous courses for review. Going to the course page and typing Ctrl f and “adverbs” or whatever you’re searching for will show you each instance of it in the course.
I’d also join the high school Facebook group to talk to others who are adjusting courses for their high schoolers.

i need help looking for what to print out for me to start working on
Most of the assignments are online. If there’s something to print, the directions will let you know, and it will be marked with an asterisk * – just follow the assignments directions step by step each lesson and you’ll be shown exactly what to do, even if there’s nothing to print.
Most of my zoology classes for 7th right now is printing out stuff and I’ve been having to skip all of them because I have no way to print them I would use my notebook but there’s no day for them
You can either purchase the printables book or just do them in your notebook each lesson as they’re assigned. There are a LOT of lapbooks and projects in Zoology, so I would consider purchasing the book of printables, but if you can’t, just decide what you want to do each day as you come to an assigned worksheet. You can make PowerPoint presentations instead of lapbooks if you can’t utilize the printed pages.

Hi there! I noticed that at one point, Mrs Giles mentioned having children in college, and one daughter in particular that got into a good art college. Did she have to take the SAT? Math is a challenge anyways, but even more so for the SAT, which includes math skills that haven’t been learned yet in 11th (I’m at Algebra 2). In addition, do you even have to take the SAT to get into test-optional colleges?
My daughter did not have to take the SAT to get into her school, and she got a full scholarship. The SAT goes up through Algebra 2. You’d have to look into specific schools to see what they require. It’s good to take just to keep your options open. My daughter only applied to one school. We believed we knew where she should go, and she applied at 16, so if she hadn’t gotten the scholarship, we would have done another year of high school and looked into other options.

I used the temporary password to get into my account after getting a new computer because our other one had to be factory reset several times and I forgot to write down the password. I forgot what my password and I cant reset my password. clicking the “forgot password” button only gives me a temp one but to actually reset, it seems to require I know the current password which I have forgotten. Is there a way around this?
Use the temporary password as your old password. You have to change it in the same day you receive the temporary password – otherwise you’ll need to go through the temporary password process again.

Yes, there is a glitch in the preview of My EP Assignments in some courses today. If you click the lesson number of a course, it will take you to the assignment on the site. You can always access the assignments that way any time you need to.

You can use the “forgot password” option to get a temporary password, then log in and change your password to what you want it to be. No records are kept, so it doesn’t need to be an overly secure password. Something easy to remember is fine. I just have my browser save mine.

Easy Peasy videos will not work on YouTube kids because they are regular YouTube links. You’ll need to use an account set to 13+ for those links.
Is there a possible estimate of when highschool books may become available for purchase? My oldest is currently at level 6 and intends to do the highschool levels too. She tends to do better with actual page work and I’d prefer to just buy the books each year. I will do printing if I must but was just curious.
Other than English and math, we don’t currently have any plans for other offline books. Lit and Comp I and Algebra I are already available in book form, and others will certainly be finished before a 6th grader is in high school, but again, it’s just those subjects, the same as the lower levels.

I am not seeing a way to add the Spelling Block to my kids courses. I have looked and looked and can not for the life of me figure out how to add it. Please help. My kids need the extra Spelling but having to help them hunt it down everyday with it not being on their page is frustrating…
You need to add an electives block (either from your unused courses at the bottom of your settings page or from the “extras” page if you’re already using an electives block). Then you need to click “previous course” until you get to spelling. Save and go!

Absolutely. You can adjust any individual course from your settings page by using the “previous course” and “next course” buttons in the course block.

Hi, on some of the Bible lessons in the Old Testament study, there are assignment questions with no answers. Instead, the questions are followed by “(answer: )”. Are the answers missing?

Hello, How do I grade for a 6th and 4th grader? We are using EP for our main curriculum, my 8th grader, I was able to use EP grading scale for 8th grade only, however is there a way to grade for 6th and 4th grade?
We don’t recommend grading until high school when grades are needed for a transcript. A few of our level 8 courses are high school level (Algebra I, Lit and Comp I, and Spanish I), so they include grading sheets and rubrics. Outside of high school, grades are a way for a teacher to communicate to a parent how the student is doing in their class. Since you’re with your student, you know how they are doing. If your child isn’t doing well, you keep going over a concept until they understand it. In that way, they’d always be getting As and Bs.
If you want to grade, you’re welcome to. Scores, attitude, proficiency, etc. can be turned in to grades. But again, there’s really no need before high school.
Are there answer keys for the free coarse’s?
See the FAQ above ok “where are the answers?” They will be linked right in the assignments where they are available.
On lesson 38 in biology there were a list of 22 questions. It said to score out of 25 for potential extra credit. It would make more sense if there were more questions… if I got all 22 correct, what do I write down as my score?
Start with 25 points and deduct one for each question you got wrong. That’s what makes it extra credit. If you get them all right, it’s 25/22 points for 3 extra credit points.
On the grading sheet it says that there are 25 possible points.
Can this curriculum be used for any State?
We have users from every state and many international locations. You’ll just need to know and follow your local homeschooling laws.
Simply love and appreciate this curriculum except for the fact that the answers are available for the high school students to see.
At the high school level, many of our students are working independently and need to be able to check their work, which is why the answers are available to them. It’s a good integrity-building exercise to talk to your students about not checking answers until they’ve completed the assignment, but if you have a student for whom it is a temptation to cheat, there are lots of ways to get around it. You can open their assignments for them so they don’t see the answer link. You can copy and paste into a word processing document and remove the answer link. You can make them show you their work and how they got the answers they did.

Curriculum is never accredited. Only schools can be accredited. However, families using EP have kids who go to college, get scholarships, even NCAA scholarships.
We tried public school this year for kindergarten. The enrollment process was terrible, but we made it and our son began on 08/30/2021. He went that week and by the end of the week, he was sick. Due to the school’s COVID-19 policy, he had to quarantine for 10 days or take a test so he could return to school. We decided to skip the test and kept him home for the 10 days. He went back to school and within a few days, he got sick again…. Once we finally got him back at school and he wasn’t sick, our 6-year-old son began experiencing a bully/group of bullies.
He would come home and complain that there was a bully at recess who was punching him in his stomach and face. We spoke to the teacher and expressed our concerns. She said she was going to find out WHO the other boy was and watch them. She said that it’s hard for them to leave their siblings (who they wrestle with) and come to school and not want to wrestle because that’s how siblings play. My son doesn’t have siblings and he’s not used to that type of playing.
Well 1 bully turned into multiple bullies pushing my son down the ladder, throwing him in the mulch, calling him names, etc. So, we had enough and decided to withdraw him from the public school setting for this year on 11/10/2021! (What a great birthday gift to my baby boy!)

We are absolutely loving this curriculum! That first experience with school left a sour taste in my son’s mouth but we are making the best experience that we can with EP. We just finished reading the book of Matthew! We are on homeschool day #30 (school day #64) and he is just excelling!
He finishes in about 2 hours. We read the Bible in the morning while he eats his breakfast. After we read the Bible we do KinderMath, Sight Reading, KinderWriting, PE/Health, Music & Art, Computer & Thinking. He is having so much fun with his kindergarten year at home and I feel like he is really just moving along quite nicely and doing so well!
I know that he would not be getting a quality education like this in the public-school setting! He had missed 16 days of school and he missed important stuff that the teacher (God bless her, she means well) would not be able to go back with him and work on the stuff that he missed. He was just going to miss out on that part of his kindergarten year…. I was working with him at home but not doing what they do in school.

i’m trying to add spelling to my son’s EP, I clicked on the individual courses and followed the instructions in the spelling tab to add it but I can not find it where it says it should be to add it- I would like it to be in his EP assignments every other day.
Spelling is the first course in the electives block. If you’re already using an elective, you’ll need to go to your extras page and add another electives block. Then click “previous course” until you get to spelling.

Many of the lessons have online videos. We also have Facebook groups for all levels and themes where questions can be asked, math questions are worked out, etc. Many non-Facebook users create a “school account” and only join our groups for the fabulous support. Since every curriculum is different, we recommend using the placement guides and tests for reading, math, and language arts. We use levels instead of grades. You might find that one 3rd grader is in reading 1, LA 2 and math 4 while another 3rd grader is in level 2 for all three subjects. why is the 6th and 7th math grades in the same book? would students just skip a year of math work books? or would they do it over again?
You use Math 4, Math 5/6, Math 6/7, Pre Algebra, Algebra, and so on…. After Math 6/7, you would then use Pre-Algebra.
On Day 96 and 97 of Spanish 1 it says to record your grade out of 18 but there are only 10 questions
Day 96 has 20 questions. Scoring out of 18 gives you 2 possible extra credit points. Since Lesson 97 says potential for extra credit as well, count each question as 2 points and score out of 18. Potential for 2 extra credit points there as well.

It sounds like they’ve already been marked as complete. Either click the green check mark up by the day number to advance everything forward, or go to your parent settings page and type the current lesson into the lesson box on each course and save and go to your student’s page.
I cant figure out the science course for Grade 6, I am confused as i can see Biology, earth science, ect printiables but not the course to go with it. Do they only do the one course…example Earth Science for the year and then not Biology for that year?

Hello, we haven’t been doing this too long (just started this year) so maybe it will come up later, but I wondered if there is any kind of outside reading in the curriculum. I have a bookworm and she is reading in her spare time but I just wondered at what point if any you assign outside reading or have assignments based on what they are reading. (she is in 3rd grade so like I say, this might be something you do for older kids just want to check) Thank you for this amazing resource!
The history courses in particular have suggestions for optional reading. Aside from that, we always encourage kids to choose books to read in their free time!

If you choose set level and theme in My EP Assignments, it will generate reading, math, language arts, thinking, computer, history, science, Bible, music, art, and PE/health. 5 of those courses are weekly so it will end up being 7 subjects each day. We recommend using the placement guides to find the right level for reading, language arts, and math.

I already know that the site does not keep records for parents to show what is being completed for the year. However, am I at least able to go in and see what my son has completed or not completed for the day?
For example, the first day I worked side by side with him because it was new to both of us. But today I needed to step out of the house for a couple of hours. How can I at least check that he completed the assignments for today and see the areas he got wrong and need help with?
No, nothing is saved. I would tell him to leave tabs open, take screenshots, print things, show work on paper, whatever works best for you. There are lots of ideas in our Facebook support group (linked on the page above).
I am new to homeschooling this year and have been homeschooling my 4 1/2 year old son for about 2 months. I am currently using a Kindergarten primer with Christian LIght and was planning to do a full year of Kindergarten in the fall. I came across your website and was so impressed! If your son knows all letters and sounds, you could start now and see how he does. By August he might be excelling and you can keep moving forward or he might need a refresher and you can start over.
If he doesn’t know all letters and sounds, I would use this time to firm those up. The kindergarten reading course assumes that base knowledge. You can use our preschool course to solidify those if you need to. Welcome!
I am trying to set up foundations for my 9th grader. It isn’t or doesn’t seem to be available to add in any of the elective choices. I’ve clicked on all the electives and it brings up cornerstone but not foundations. Can any one help?
Foundations is only available in the first electives block, not any from the extras page. So if you’re using an elective for something else, you’ll need to change that one to Foundations and then use one from.the extras page for your current elective. Use the “previous course” and “next course” buttons to find the different courses.

Not all of the lessons, no. They are online lessons. But many subjects have everything that needs to be printed compiled in one place and linked at the top of the course page.

Hello. My son is going into 9th grade next year. I see that the first two years of the Literature courses are available in book format. Is there any plan at some point for American and British Literature to be available in book format/offline.

Do you offer a boy preschool workbook? I see you have both the April and Abraham the Alligator videos to listen to but when I click on the workbook, I only see April the Alligator coloring and story page.
We used to have a boy and girl one, but I combined them into one. It does start with April, but there are boy animals in there too. 🙂

I just wanted to make sure you know what a blessing this curriculum has been for me and my kids. When I decided to “choose my own curriculum”, I quickIy realized I bit off more than I could chew. Everything was so unorganized no matter how hard I tried- it Anytime I “finally got something figured out” it would always fail one way or another. It would either lead to more work that needed to be done or it would be hard for my kids to follow. There was always something. Anyways it was a true headache until Easy Peasy! My kids wake up and hop on their computer and know exactly what they need to do. One more thing, THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING FREE ACCESS! There is a kindergarten section. Kinder Math, Kinder Writing, and then Sight Reading and Phonics are the course names or you can just choose kindergarten in My EP Assignments and it will auto-generate those. The curriculum is always available – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Hi. Each time I set my child’s level and theme is does not have it saved when I go to his page. For example, I set it to level 6 and Modern History theme but on the student page it defaults to level 7
Modern History only has two levels: 1-4 and 5-8. So level 6 or level 7 would have the same Modern History course.
If his other courses are showing level 7 instead of level 6 (math, reading, and language arts), be sure you’re selecting “save and go to ___’s page” before checking his page. Also be sure you’re not signed in on multiple devices so that it fully updates before you check his page.

There are things to print in most of the courses throughout the year. Generally they’ll just want a representative sample of each subject. Math would have been worked out on separate paper that could be shown. Most reading courses have you keep a notebook of vocabulary. Science and history have lapbooks and other worksheets. Language Arts has essays and stories that would have been written or typed and several printed worksheets depending on the level. But we don’t have any records on our end if that’s what you’re asking.

I am looking to homeschool my son, as he has had issues with public schools not helping him with learning disabilities etc. This curriculum was recommended by a friend and I really like what I am seeing. However, we consider ourselves non-denominational. I am wondering if this would still be a good fit without using the bible lessons?
The curriculum is non-denominational, so I’m not sure what your concern is, but the curriculum is set up so that you can add or remove any courses you like. Just click on the X in the corner of the Bible course block on the settings page, and the Bible course won’t show up on the student lesson page.

Easy Peasy is just a curriculum (like a set of books) and has no way of keeping track of anything. There are plenty of things to print, work that would be done on extra pages, etc.
How & where can I down load your Attendance Template?
You can find some parent-created ones on the scope and sequence/printables page of the menu. I’m not sure if they’re what you’re looking for. You can also check in your state group on Facebook to see how others in your state keep track of attendance using our curriculum. Not every state requires attendance.
Hi, I’m very interested in signing my 11 year old up in this home school program. However I do not want her in any Bible classes whatsoever!!!!!! Are these classes mandatory?
We are just a curriculum for you to use however you see fit. We don’t keep track of who is using what. You can use any or all of the courses in your homeschool.
My child took the placement test and placed into language arts Level 4 but Reading Level 1, do these courses follow one another? Would I have to bring her all the way back to LA 1 even though she understands those concepts so she can be on the same level? How does it work when the levels don’t match on the placement for a similar subject ?
The courses can be used independently. You might also look at the placement guides (not just the tests) and see if you think LA 4 and Reading 1 are still the right fit for your child. But you can definitely use them together – Reading and Language Arts were made into separate courses for that exact reason.

Is there an answer key to the printable worksheets book? How do I know if the answers my child write are correct?
The printables book goes along with the online course. Each time a worksheet is assigned from the book, the answers will be linked there in the lesson online. But there will be many lessons that don’t have a worksheet and are online-only. The printables book is not a complete course by itself.

Yes, the program would be tracking changes to just the name they are working under, so the one won’t affect the other.
what is the difference between online and offline
All of our courses can be done online (with a computer). The offline options (select versions of math, reading, and language arts) are done out of a book, away from the computer.

The Parent’s Guides are only for offline courses. Spanish is an online course. The lessons are all there in the online course and written to the student- no need for a separate book to teach from.

You can view the entire course by clicking on the course name in My EP Assignments or visiting the “courses” menu of this site and selecting the course you want to scroll through. You can use “Ctrl f” and “Lesson ___” to jump to the lesson you’re looking for on the page or type in “multiplication” or whatever topic you’re searching for. You can’t see past scores or anything like that (we have no way of keeping records of completed assignments), but every lesson is always available on our site.

You can add courses at any time from your settings page. For spelling, scroll down to unused courses and click on elective. If it’s not there, you’re already using one and you’ll need to go to the extras page and add another elective. Once you have the course block added, use the “previous course” or “next course” button to toggle through the courses until you get to spelling. They’re listed alphabetically for the electives.

The parent guides only apply if you’re wanting to work offline. They pair with the offline workbook. You can find them in the EP Store.
The online assignments are complete with no extra guides or books required. The offline books are just a nicety for those who prefer that format.

I noticed that a prereq for high school biology was middle school biology. If my daughter takes Biology 5-8 grade course as an 8th grader would it be okay to move into high school biology the next year? I wasn’t sure if it would be redundant for her two years in a row. Thank you
The high school course will definitely be more in depth. If she doesn’t mind studying the same content two years in a row, it would be fine to do it that way. If she’s had exposure to biology in another curriculum, you could choose a different science for 8th and then biology for 9th. It’s completely up to you.
On day 122 of the Spanish 1 course there is the preterite worksheet. I am trying to find the answer the the first section but cannot see any answer. I see the original answer page but not the answers to this specific section. Do you know how to figure that out?

When you open the PDF there are 2 pages. The first page is the worksheet. The second page is the answers. If you still need help you can have your parent email or join our high school support group. If you’re not seeing 2 pages of the PDF you might need to try a different browser or device.
Hello! My son is working on World History (9-12) and is beginning the unit on the Byzantine Empire, lesson 31. There does not appear to be a set of vocabulary for this unit, but the crossword in lesson 32 seems to be pulling from a vocabulary list rather than from his notes. He did print the notes, but that was only one page, so I wasn’t sure if he missed the link to the vocabulary somewhere.

That crossword is just review of what they’ve read in Lesson 31 and 32. The answers will come from the various links they’re reading. If there’s anything they don’t know, they can learn it from doing the puzzle. It’s not for a grade, it’s just a learning/review activity.

Hi- I saw a comment that civics is covered in “Theme 2” but I’m not sure what that means. At what point is civics covered in Levels 1-8? I was also wondering where studying the planets, sun, etc. is covered.
Theme 2 is the Early American History theme. Earth science would cover planets.

I am working with the Language Arts Workbook EP Literature and Compostiton I. With one quiz (lesson 5) I am not sure if the answers are right: It says: “Underline the prepositional phrases in EACH sentence below.” But in the solutions, not each sentence has a part that is underlined. So I am wondering if it is only ME who understood something wrongly or if it is the mistake from the publisher/author?! My mother tongue is German so I can’t ask my parents either because they didn’t learn native english grammar.

I was wondering about how to go back to check work finished and to find out their grade for that work for the day, if applicable. I want to do a spreadsheet to keep track so he can have a report card.
You will need to keep track of any thing you want to keep track of. Easy Peasy is just a curriculum and keeps no records of any kind. You can go back to previous lessons at any time by clicking the course title from your settings page – that will take you to the entire course of lessons. But saving things is up to you and your student (screenshots, leaving tabs open, writing things down, etc.) Our Facebook support group has lots of ideas for keeping track of completed work if you’d like to join. Hello, I had looked into EP a few years ago and it wasn’t compatible with Chromebook at the time. Have things changed with this? I looked around on the website but couldn’t figure it out.

Is there a way to make it so that the student cannot mark the lesson and day complete? My six year old keeps marking them complete when it isn’t, and then I don’t know which day he is actually on and it takes awhile to figure it out. Not to mention adjusting points.
My EP Assignments is basically just a fancy digital bookmark. Just like a kid can move a bookmark, a kid can move this one too. You’ll just need to set expectations with your child for whatever works best for your family.

Could someone let me know if I can shut off the “parents only” answers when I am finished correcting as we will be using the same computer. I reopen my browser to make the answers not accessible, but who I reopen the browser the answers are still accessible.
You’ll need to clear your browser’s history/cache to clear that data that it’s saving. Do you have another browser on the computer? I would check the answers in a browser that isn’t used for school. That way it won’t matter if it saves the password.
How do you see if your child (high schooler) has completed his work? Especially if he closes out the website? I want to make sure he’s not lying to me and telling me he’s done it if he didn’t do it.
You’ll need to work out a system of accountability that works for you. Easy Peasy has no way of keeping track of anything. Some students save screen shots in a folder, leave tabs open, check in after every subject, etc. There’s a file in our Facebook group with more ideas or you could check with our high school group. You can check what the assignments were by going to your parent settings page. But we have no way of keeping track of answers or how assignments were completed. You could have her keep tabs open, take screen shots, etc.

My question is: Do I need to have a computer for my children to work through this course? My phone is the only electronics we have in the house. Would it be possible for them to work through it on a smart phone?
Many things will work on a phone, but not everything. You could maybe use a library computer or something for those activities or just come up with something else in their place. There is more about devices to use with the curriculum on the troubleshooting link at the top of this page.
I first want to thank you for this program. We started using it for the first time this school year and the children love it and it has made my life so “easy peasy” I am loving it. My question is, I have a child that will be going in the 1st and one going to 6th, I want the oldest to start Physics but, I don’t want to start her at the 5-8 because I am concerned that since she did not do the 1-4 it might be an issue. But, at the same time I do not want to start her at the 1-4 and work her hard to get up to 5-8, any suggestions Also, Is there any way to separate the themes? I would like for the 1st grader to do biology alone with modern history but they are not connected together. Once again, thank you for such a wonderful program. May God continue to bless you.
You can set it up however it works for you.
One idea is to do Physics together with both of them. You can go through the 1-4 stuff all together, or maybe better, have your daughter do it with the younger one as her teacher 🙂 and then she can go off and look at the her own physics materials for the day. That way she would get it all.
But, if you want to have your younger do biology and modern history, just switch the history. Click on Next Course in the history block, right under where it says “Ancient History.” Click it a few times and it will say “Modern History.”

Hello I’m curious how to grade the assignments on here?
That’s up to you as the teacher. You can grade based on correctness, attitude, etc. We don’t recommend grades until high school when they’re needed for a transcript. All of our high school courses have grading sheets and rubrics to help you. Prior to high school, simply make sure your student understands what they’re learning before moving on – no need for grades!

I am using the Parent Add-On to add ASL (American Sign Language) to all 6 of my kids EP pages. Is there a way to add multiple lessons on one Add-On page so I am able to use the others for different things or am I only able to put one lesson per Parent Add-On?
The parent add on is intended to link to the full course, not individual lessons. If you put the main link of whatever you’re adding and then teach your children how to find the lesson they need, you can use the three parent add ons for three different courses.
I can’t find answer to this anywhere. Started your program and yesterday I tried marking lessons complete and when I tried to click checkmark at top of page. It didn’t do anything change lesson, so I kept going back to see if I could get it to work. I tried this morning and had to go to parent’s settings page and put in Lesson 2. It changed it on student page. But all the clicks I did undoubtably moved it to Day 7 and thousands. points. How do I correct? Why did it not move day like video said it would when I clicked on? You can go into Parent Settings and change the Day and Lesson numbers to whatever they need to be. The points can be adjusted from the Parent Settings page as well. Are you able to print other things from your Chromebook? Chromebooks typically have to print through the cloud. If you download the printable PDD to your Chromebook first it might work better. But you’ll need to be sure you have a printer hooked up and a PDF reader installed.

Did you finish setting up his account, or did you click away in the middle of the tutorial? If there is no student page at all, click “add student” and then click on 11th and adjust any courses it auto-generates by using the previous and next buttons. Otherwise, log out of My EP Assignments, then log back in and click on his name to get to his student page.
Hi! For Lit & Comp 1, they suggest that you have a peer editing partner. Is that necessary or is there another way to do that?
You really should have someone giving you feedback about your writing. If you don’t have anyone else, your parent or homeschool guardian could do it. But ideally it’s someone your age or grade.
Hi! A homeschool mom here! It’s not necessary to have a peer to edit your paper but you should have someone look over it if you can to see anything you might have missed. I look over my son’s papers and talk through the edits with him.

Scroll up on this page to the “where are the answers?” FAQ and click on it. That will tell you about the various answer types available. If there aren’t answers linked, there are no answers. My EP Assignments is just a fancy bookmark, keeping track of your place in the lessons. It doesn’t keep track of completed assignments. You can click the lesson number from the student page or the course title from the settings page to be taken to the entire course page where the full year of lessons are there for you to peruse. From there you could see previous assignments, but again, not in a completed sense.

Please feel free to ask your questions. But we don’t encourage grades until they’re necessary for a high school transcript. A grade is a way for a teacher to communicate to a parent how their child is doing. That’s not necessary in a homeschool situation. Just keep with a subject until your child learns it and then move on to the next subject. No reason to continue if they’re not learning like is necessary in a classroom setting.
I have a question pertaining to the PE/Health 2 (9-12).
Why is the course only worth half a credit (.5) instead of a full year credit even though it is 36 weeks long?
Credits are determined by how long the course takes in hours. Generally speaking, 150-180 hours = 1 credit; 75-90 hours = 0.5 credit. Since the PE course doesn’t take 45-60 minutes a day for 180 days, it’s a half credit course.
That being said, you’re the teacher and ultimately get to determine that for your student and your homeschool. You can always add to the requirements of the course to make it a full credit if you want to do that.

It sounds like you’ve added once-a-week classes that depend on the day number to show on your student’s page. When your student gets to the correct school day, they will show.
I can’t seem to find the grade sheets for my daughter’s classes. I was able to find and print them when we first started. But I guess I don’t remember where they are. They will be linked each quarter as you need them. So the second quarter’s will be somewhere around lesson 45.

Number 2 of the day has the assignment with suggested things to write about and the newspaper template is working for me so it’s hard to help you in this type of setting.
Question? How do I print off my child’s work to put in a folder for my assessor at the end of year?
Easy Peasy doesn’t save any work. Every 40 lessons or so, the child is told to give something to their parent to save for a portfolio. If this isn’t enough for your evaluator, you can save printed worksheets, take screenshots of online activities and print them, have your child write answers in a notebook that can be saved, etc. You can check with your state group (link for all support groups above on this page) to see what your state laws require you to save.

From your settings page, click “save and go to _____’s page” to load the student page. From there he can access his assignments.
High School students have access to the answers. If you don’t want your student to access them, be sure to set up expectations ahead of time.
Is there any type of proof of enrollment that we can get to provide proof so that my 15 year old can get his drivers permit?
Please join your state group (all groups are linked on this page) to find out how to satisfy this requirement. Your student is enrolled in your homeschool, so you can legally provide that proof of enrollment.

It is all one platform. Simply add Spanish 1 to her student page where her other courses are. Go down to the bottom of your settings page and click on Spanish under unused courses. Then in the Spanish box that it adds, click “next course” until you see Spanish I. If you already have Spanish added, just click next course until you find it – it goes Spanish for level 6, Spanish for level 7, Spanish I, etc.

We have no way of knowing what your student has completed, no. Keeping records is up to you. You can have them screenshot assignments, print things out, work on separate paper, etc. Our high school courses have grading prompts and sheets to be filled out throughout the school year to help with transcripts. But all of that record keeping is on the school end (you), not the curriculum/textbook end (us).
What is the difference between Strong & Healthy, and Strong & Healthy revisited?
They are the same course. You revisit the same course every other year 1-4 and then again 5-8.

I have heard very good things about Easy Peasy and decided to give it a try with my 4yo. I have reviewed the curriculum and every printable attached to be sure it was exactly what we needed, and to my surprise, ITS PERFECT! Very easy to follow along with. Now my only question is for the printables, is it best to print one sided or double sided for the preschool printables, since I know some pages are for cutting practice.
You will want the cutting pages to be single- sided. It’s up to you if you want to go through and make notes of which pages those are or just print the whole thing single-sided.
Is there a way to add more than 3 “add-on” courses when setting up my children for the year?
Not currently. Since My EP Assignments is designed to track your EP courses specifically, we only built in 3 add-ons. It takes a lot of server space and expense to house them, so we limited it to 3. You could add another student and have 3 more add ons.

Last year I was able to save pdf that showed each subjects weekly curriculum of sorts where can I find this. I have looked everywhere.
We used to have parent-submitted scope and sequence forms, but they became outdated as the curriculum is ever-evolving. You can check the Facebook group associated with the level or theme you are using to see if any have been uploaded there. Or you can always view every lesson of every course on our website at any time.

I am having trouble with the Parent Add Ons buttons. I would like to use some free curriculum that our local school provides for us, but when I add the course (such as “school math”, it does not allow me to edit the button or add assignments, or allow the student to even check-off that they completed it. Is it not possible to input or specify anything but a title and website for Add On courses? Thank you.
The add-ons only allow you to add a link to the thing you’re wanting to add on. We don’t have a way to code other sites to show up in our assignment bookmark tool day by day. It’s mostly just a reminder to do the extra thing. You’ll need to work out a way to have your student know what to do each day for anything that isn’t Easy Peasy.

You can use as little or as much of the curriculum as you’d like.

Apologetics is the very first elective in the block. So just click “previous course” in the block until you see it.

Why are the lessons out of order? I printed about 15 pages out for my son and the language arts sheet had a hamburger image to help him divide up story but the page was lesson 31 (cant remember exactly) but the instructions said to pull from lesson 48….how can he do that since its a lesson that he hasn’t read through yet? The lessons go in order. The hamburger is on Lesson 51 (not 31) and says to use their facts from Lesson 48.

As long as you create an account (versus entering as a guest), you can log in from any device. It’s one family account for up to 10 students, and it can be logged in on multiple devices at a time.

Elective is fine. Many do half credit study skills, half credit speech.

Pe, art and music should be once a week but it shows up on my daughter’s lessons everyday and I don’t know how to change it. I don’t know why it’s that way.
It will show up daily if you add it from the “extras” page. Go to the extras page and delete them, then add them from your settings page to get them to show up weekly (according to your student day) instead.

We have tons of electives. All of our courses can be seen on the two sites under “courses.” An 8th grader will probably take 2-3 hours (it obviously depends on the student). In a homeschool situation, a parent usually issues the diploma. Check your state laws to be sure. We are just the curriculum you’re using so we don’t have any records or diplomas or ceremonies. We’re like the books you’re using. Colleges love homeschoolers. Many of them seek out homeschoolers. Your curriculum isn’t what’s looked at. Your transcript, grades, extra curricular activities, etc. are what they will look at.
Hi, my son started his lessons today, and I want to change his Computer course to a higher level. Even though I changed the course from level 1 to level 3 in parent settings, it will not change on his student page. I did click save and I also refreshed the page, but it is still showing Computer Level 1
Make sure the account is not open on two devices at once when you’re trying to make changes. Close his instance or yours and then use the “next course” button to change it again. Then hit “save and go.”
Hello! My children and I are really enjoying “Good Moring, Lord.” Not to sound pushy or impatient, but will other devotional lessons/thoughts be posted? I hesitated to ask, because I see the EP site growing, and I have no idea how you do so much work on it and still keep up with your family. Do you sleep? ha ha.
Where are you on the lessons? I write at least 5 new ones each week. I have the 180 lessons posted on the By Way of Reminder page, you can use those as you wait for more. Those are similarly short teachings with audio (really video) available. And I posted a new September study just now and have several of those from past years you can use. And the new discipleship course is awesome. So there is plenty more to use as I keep adding to the Good Morning, Lord! series. And, the regular Bible courses are on the site too! And no, I don’t sleep much. 🙂 But, that’s not really because of work. I maybe take an hour for writing in the early morning. The rest is for devotional time.

How do I update my children’s grade levels on MyEP? I need to update that information but, I don’t see an option to do that.
You can change the level of any subject on your settings page using the “previous course” and “next course” buttons. Alternatively, you could start completely over using the “set level and theme” option. If your child has finished a level, simply progressing to the next level is a matter of clicking “next course” in each block and then saving the page.
I was in sixth grade last year how do I go to 7th grade?
You can click “next course” on all of your subjects on your settings page or you can click “set level and theme” and choose the next level you need and a new theme. Either one will work. The first might be easier if you were using different levels for your sixth grade classes.
Does bible count as a credit for high school?
All of our high school courses have suggested credit info at the top of the course page. But ultimately, in a homeschool situation YOU determine what counts for a credit.
My daughters Algebra math course says to record up to 5 points for completing each lesson. I’m not sure I understand?
If she completes the lesson, she gets 5 points. She should be checking her answers and making sure that she understands anything she gets wrong, but her grade is based on doing the work. It encourages mastery without punishing for little mistakes.
As the teacher/administrator, you can grade differently if you choose to. The curriculum is just a guide.

I have the points set at 20, but my child is receiving more points than that per lesson. How can I fix this?
Your child automatically gets 100 points for each lesson that is marked complete. You can change the total points he has on your settings page, but not the amount of points he receives for marking a lesson complete. You can just adjust any rewards you were offering for the points to 5x whatever you were thinking when you wanted them at 20 and it will be equivalent.

One more question, how do I see what my child has scored on their lessons? Is there a history somewhere? Or do I just have to try and make a note of it when they complete each lesson?
We don’t have a way of keeping track of anything. I have my students check in with me after every activity, keep tabs open until I check them, or take screenshots of what they’ve completed to help me check their work.
Grades aren’t necessary until high school, and grading sheets, rubrics, and instructions are provided in each high school course. But for checking in on them I do what I mentioned above.
My child is wanting to participate in the drama club associated with the local school district here. So, they are asking for quarterly grades. Since we are new to homeschooling, I just want to make sure I can accommodate the request so they can participate. Thank you for the information.
Hi! I just found your program yesterday and to say I am impressed would be an understatement! I have 2 boys; one is 8 and the other is 10. We had been using an online program and it wasn’t up to par in my opinion. It is important to me that they do actual physical writing, so this will be a perfect fit for us! I want to say thank you for putting so much effort into this program. We are taking fall break this coming week, so I will be preparing to begin EP when we come back! I don’t want my child to have access to the answers to worksheets but after putting in the password once to look at them it is no longer requiring a password.
That’s your computer saving the password. Try clearing your cache or removing it from your saved passwords list. In the future, if you check it on a device that your student isn’t using for school (or even a different browser) their browser won’t be affected.

On the About – Donate page there is a link to where we share some about our ministry. There’s just a mention of the trip. It wasn’t to accomplish anything, just in obedience. He met a lot of people, got to pray for people, encourage missionaries, got connected to a church, and spent lots of time with his language teacher. He’s been working on Azerbaijani.

Okay, I’m super confused. I think I’m doing something wrong. I enrolled my first student into Kindergarten then I added another student who’s in fifth grade. But all of there assignments look the same!! Is there a way to change the grade level? Thanks.

Right, I’ve been there. But how to I change it to fifth grade? I’ve moved the levels up and down and it all looks like Kindergarten work.
If you want to use level 5, click “set level and theme” and select 5. Or you can individually change the level of any course by clicking “previous course” or “next course” in the course block you want to change.

Hi! We are returning to ep this year for 4th grade. We completed a store bought curriculum and it simply doesn’t compare. Thank you for taking the time and the effort to put these lessons together. We decided to go with the genesis book of Matthew this year, but it occured to me that she was really excited about physics. My brain is all over the place right now so I wanted to verify: will the genesis curriculum cover physics? If not, I assume I can complete physics online and take care of everything else off line? We are in on our summer break right now and will not be starting again until February. Thank you so much!!
There is physics in Genesis Curriculum, but it covers all the branches of science. If you are interested in GC, maybe consider taking these few months and work on just the physics in the online physics course. It’s both physics and chemistry. Let her start working through links and experiments as a fun thing to do over break.

How does a parent submit a book or dvd or USB study course? “Parent Provided?”
If you are talking about offering a course on our site, they are usually submitted as Word documents or pdfs. You could provide a link to a free online something I guess. It would have to be free and something you made as a parent of an EP kid.

My EP Assignments does not save any work. It’s essentially a digital bookmark, holding your place in the lessons until you tell it to move. When you mark the day complete, it moves the bookmark to the next day. You’ll need to work out with your child to take screenshots, leave tabs open, work on separate paper, etc. to show work completed.
Hello! I have a question. Many websites for many different subjects take me to the Wayback Machine platform. What is this and why do you use this instead of just the regular websites?
It’s an archive of a link that is no longer available. Sometimes when a heavily used website disappears, we have to add the archive links instead of immediately creating our own just to keep the curriculum flowing for people. We replace the archive links as we’re able but this way there’s no interruption for students using the curriculum.
Good morning I have a question about your ep brain blast. I was looking over the lit and comp curriculum and saw that I can print the words and definitions but not the test. Does the student have to complete the test 1st for me to print it out?
There isn’t a way on the screen to print them, but you can click and drag to highlight the entire test then click right-click to print. You would still need to go back to the online test to enter the answers to have it score the test for you.

You’ll need to work out with your child how to keep track of things – have them take screenshots, leave tabs open, work things out on paper. Easy Peasy does not have any way of saving your child’s work. There are more ideas in our Facebook support group linked on the page above.
My 1st grader is interested in learning to write in cursive, but we didn’t find anything in the courses. Will it come up in language arts later? Or should we look to another resource for that?

I’ve used easy peasy for a year now, but trigonometry and biology are becoming increasingly difficult. Is there any way I could drop those classes and do alternative things at home? (half unschooling and half easy peasy)
We are just a curriculum. We don’t have any stipulations for what you use or don’t use of our site. That’s completely up to your parent (homeschool administrator/teacher) and your state’s laws.

We are just a curriculum, not a school to which you can transfer. You can use our curriculum in your homeschool to complete your high school education, yes.
Hi! I have all classes set and ready to start but how do I set it for student only so he doesn’t get into the parent settings?
It’s just a family account. My EP Assignments is essentially a digital bookmark, holding your place in your courses just like a bookmark would in a book. It doesn’t have extra pages for the parent accessible only via the settings or store any records. The worst your student could do would be to “move the bookmark.” You can easily move it back to where you need it to be.
I like to run my school year from March to the following February. They go year round with many break. Will the site automatically reset and the end of the traditional school year, or is it determined by the date they start
You are completely in charge of your school and how you use the site. The site doesn’t automatically do anything – it does what you tell it to do. The days and subjects will not progress unless you tell them to.
I was sick and not able to follow along with my child. He moved through 3 lessons on those days I was ill. I don’t think he answered all the questions. How do I go back to see those previous days?
You can set the lesson number on your settings page by typing it in the box of the course block you want to change. Additionally, if you click the course title from the settings page or the lesson number from the student’s page you’ll be taken to the entire course page where you can see everything that’s been assigned or will be assigned for the course.

HI! We are new to homeschooling and we are starting towards the end of the school year. How do we only cover the last 6 weeks worth of material for 10th grade?
You can look through the courses and see where they sort of match up with where they ended in their school topic-wise and just start from there. There might be more than 6 weeks of material left or there might be less – no two curricula are going to line up perfectly. You can decide if you want to double up lessons, skim through and decide if there are lessons you can skip, do some lessons in the summer – it’s entirely up to you how to handle finishing out the courses.
Hi, I graduated in 2020 from easy peasy and lost my diploma how would I go about getting a new one?
Your parent or homeschool guardian would issue you a new diploma just like they issued the first one. We don’t issue diplomas as we’re just a curriculum. You can’t graduate from Easy Peasy since we’re not a school. You graduated from your homeschool.
A diploma is really just a certificate. Your transcript is more likely what you will need in the future for any future education. Both will come from your parent or homeschool guardian who kept your records.
I don’t see any way to add the spelling course to MY EP assignments. Am I missing something?
You’ll find it in the electives block. Add an electives block (you can find more on the “extras” page if you’re already using one) and then click “next course” until you get to spelling. The courses are alphabetical so it’ll be toward the end of the list of courses.
