Course Description

Students will be learning two memory verses each week. They will earn pieces to a code along the way. The verses can be learned in any translation and are linked to a site which has the verse in many translations. Daily they should recite their verse out loud. On the last day of the week, they should recite their verse to someone else if that’s an option. There will be spaced review of the verses. Level 2 uses the same verses as Level 1 but adds a second verse to each one so that they will get them more solidified by learning them again. BONUS: Students will also be learning what’s in the books of the Bible with a video by everyone’s favorite, Mr. G.

Lesson 1

  1. You are going to be receiving one message each week. Your job is to lock it safe in your heart! These are some of the most important messages you’ll ever hear. They can even save your life! Learn them well and keep them safe.
  2. When you have learned your verse, on the last day of the week, you will receive a piece of code. Keep a paper or notebook where you will keep your code. One suggestion is to get a mini notebook (20 sheets of paper will do) and write the reference and verse, along with the number and code piece each week.
  3. Your job is to say the verse at least once each day without looking. Say it with the reference like this, “Genesis 1:1-2 (Then the verses.) Genesis 1:1-2.”
  4. You could make a habit of saying your verse one time at each meal to practice a few times a day. It only takes seconds. A slow and steady approach is better than saying it a bunch on just one day.
  5. I can spend a couple of hours a day on Scripture memory. I learn whole chapters at once. I love having God’s word locked safe in my heart. I hope this is the beginning of a lifelong love of learning and keeping God’s Word.
  6. Genesis 1:1-2 You will have to choose your translation each day on this level.
  7. Learn the books of the Bible with Mr. G and what’s in them! This is level 2; we’re leveling up. You can take the first five lessons to listen to this. Stop after Joshua. Here are the Old Testament books with their summaries and explanations.

People should hear and see that in you.
