Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool

[I wrote this post on Facebook after reading the message I quote at the beginning.]

“12 days into our new school year with Easy Peasy and we are ALL enjoying homeschooling more than we have in YEARS. We never had time for the extras or even free time before. We spent so much time bogged down in JUST the basics with very little to show for it. Now, we not only get to everything, but even in just two weeks I see joy and interest and the ever famed FREE time returning! We have tried all the “best” and most expensive curriculums… and it turns out the very best was right in front of us… and for the very best price of all!”

When I started EP, I wanted to help those struggling financially to be able to continue homeschooling, but I love hearing how EP has brought joy into homes. Too many people define successful homeschooling as children getting into top schools or winning top scholarships. I define successful homeschooling as learning and growing together and enjoying the experience.

I read more and more about the importance of passion in education, in life, in work, even in college admissions and scholarships. If kids are bogged down and bored, there is no passion. It’s not that my kids can’t wait to do their school each day (some things they really enjoy, some things they just do because they have to), but they each have their own passions. EP gives them a great foundation of education, and frees them to spend time on their passions (and I even get to see them put to use some of those foundational lessons from school).

How often do we hear of college students who keep switching majors because they don’t know what they want to do? It’s the same with twenty somethings who are still trying to figure out who they are. Homeschool kids don’t have that problem. They didn’t spend their entire education pretending to be someone they aren’t just to fit in. They get to be themselves at all times and are loved for it. They can come out of homeschool already having spent countless hours getting better and better at what they love to do and showing that passion will make them stand out from all the rest.

So maybe I want to say, when you homeschool, don’t try to fit the mold, whatever mold you are looking at and trying to be like. Every single family is different. Every single kid is different. Don’t try to squeeze your kids, or yourself, into a mold that wasn’t designed for you. Be you. Let your kids be themselves, and enjoy the opportunity to live and learn and grow together in your homeschool.

    I just want to thank you for creating Easy Peasy! I am a student on Easy Peasy and I simply love it! In fifth grade you told me too create an account on wordpress.com. So if you had not created Easy Peasy I would not have a wordpress account! I also love how you have it free for everyone to use, that’s a blessing! I am in sixth grade now and I have been home schooled since 4th grade. So I have been able to enjoy E.P for 2 years! Since, we have only been home schooled for 2 years we don’t know a lot of the deep of stuff about it, but my mom found out about E.P and she loved it! It also saves us time because you have every subject on there! Thank you again for being such a blessing to my family and I. (P.S I am studying Latin and weather right now and I love it!)

    Dear person who has written Easy Peasy, we cannot express ourselves more excitedly than this…our kids are elated and we are, too!!!
    A little history and a question: We are grandparents – I’m 72 and my husband is 71. We are guardians of my daughters four kids: Lola is 12 with mild CP, Gabriel is 10 with a higher intelligence, Chika is 4 and Espie 2. My eldest daughter, home schools her kids in Easy Peasy and turned us on to you. We belong to South Bay Faith Academy. God has been so good to us to give us you.
    My question is we have yet to figure out if EP is aware that we’re on – and if there’s anything I need to do. And how do we know how to get grades? The two are on day 17. The littles aren’t doing it until they are 5, they have other stuff to do and keep busy. Thank u so much. When we get $ we will send an offering. We appreciate soooo much your great program

      This is a free Curriculum so there is no need to regisiter. You are the teacher of your grandchildren so you will keep their records of their courses and grades. The How to may be helpful to you: http://allinonehomeschool.com/how-to-use-this-curriculum/

        thank you so much for all you do and for EP I was in public school before and I now look back to when i was in public school and i am learning more in homeschool than in public school and I am much happier i was miserable in public school. I was bullied and now i don’t have to worry about what others are going to say/do the minute i get out of bed or the house for that matter. i hid my problems at school from my parents and now i regret it greatly!

    Thank you for the encouraging word. We started homeschool with EP about a week ago. We are getting the idea of how to use the program. We started at day 90…. Due to the kids being in public school for the first semester. It was a decision that we as parents had to make. Too much drama and wrong influence the kids loved being in band. My oldest daughter made first chair in all regional band this year with the French horn. However we withdrew from school before the concert. They are doing well. I have to admit we are learning basic math. I believe they were rushed and only learned certain areas of math to pass the state testing. My youngest is reading now more than ever. She has ADD and always had trouble staying focused. Again thank you and Be blessed in Jesus name.

    This is just what I needed to hear this morning. I struggle with “are they doing enough?!”… I know it’s just me. I will keep plugging along. At least we have our joy back!

    Hi. Thanks for providing the opportunity for my daughter Ashley to learn at home. We are financially challenged and many voices encouraged me to enroll her into the public school next to our complex.
    I knew it would not be the right thing to do for us. We were criticized and praised. At first even my husband and Ashley were shy about homeschooling.
    We are on day 135 in getting ready 2.
    Ashley reads so well and is so happy to be home with mom! We have done this entire year with no computer at home. We go to the library once a week and the rest of the time we use our android .I don’t recommend it but it has worked so far. I know we will have to have a computer and printer for first grade.
    My husband and I teach sunday school every week for the kindergarten age children, we can see how homeschooling has benefited our daughter in so many ways.
    I am so grateful my friend showed me this curriculum last October.
    There was pressure for me to enroll Ashley in a charter school for first grade. So once again I researched and came to the conclusion that we need to stay with the EP curriculum. Thanks again for making homeschooling possible for us!
