Baby Nathaniel

Sorry I haven’t informed you before about baby Nathaniel. I posted about him on facebook. If you would like more frequent updates, join us on our facebook page.

Nathaniel is my 6th child. He was born at 29 weeks by emergency c-section two weeks ago. He’s in the NICU. I have actually only seen him once since he was born. Today he was transferred to another hospital with greater specialty in the care he needs. He’s in an isolation room, all alone. I am allowed to come in and touch him once a day. Hopefully I’ll be able to do that starting tomorrow. I’m still sore from the c-section, but I’m moving better than before. I’m only on Ibuprofen for pain relief.

I’m checking the email each day, but I’m not spending a lot of time on the computer right now. Every course for this year is already finished, so I am thankful there is no work for me piling up. Any course/level you’ve started on the site is already complete.

My parents are coming just after Christmas and will be staying awhile. The kids will love getting the attention that I’m not giving them right now.

We appreciate your prayers.

Please know there are many praying for you now. I only joined the Facebook page recently and just before your baby was born. I can see how the Lord led me there so I can pray for you. We had a preemie once as well. He is now a teenager who is bigger than all of us! May the Lord send you a double portion of His spirit and strength, as well as His peace, as you care for yourself and your family.

I don’t understand. My son was born at 28 weeks and starting the third day I was encouraged to hold him as much as possible – Kangaroo Kare. Is he very sick? It can’t be good for him to be all alone. I will pray for your family and this little guy. Hope you heal quickly and your son comes home soon!

yes… other countries are not as … loving, or well medically sound towards children, like america.. hugs, my prayers are with you, and that the Lord will be His comfort and His right guard! That angels are encamped to care for every need and your son is NOT alone in this time 🙂

I was just going to say the same thing as Denise. We are thankful for the 3 months of care we received in the NICU with our twin boys born at 27 wks. They’re doing great now (at 7 1/2 months). Praying blessings on Nathaniel and that you’ll soon be able to hold him in your arms.

I just found your blog and was reading through the most recent entries. I’ll be praying for Nathaniel! Our son was born at 27 weeks back in July. We named him Owen Nathaniel. 🙂 He came home after 10 weeks and is very healthy! May the Lord bless both of our “Gifts of God”!!!

We will be praying for you and your sweet baby boy!! I totally understand, I have 6 kids and both my 2nd and my 4th were in the NICU. It is so hard to see your baby so sick and not to be able to hold him. My children have grown to be healthy kids, they only have a few minor asthma problems.

Your EP homeschooling program has been a God send for our family!! Thank you for all the work you have done!

    Angie
