Victory is the Lord’s at every step. He’s at the first and with the last. He alone holds all things in His hands. It’s all His.

He has chosen you and will be your help and your strength. He will uphold you with His righteous right hand. No one can snatch us out of His hands. How can we not have peace and security if we really believed we were kept in His hand?

We are told He holds us in His right hand and that He holds our right hand. Did you ever stop and think about that? If he’s holding us by His right hand and we’re holding Him by our right hand, what does that look like? I picture that like we’re facing Him, like we’re holding both hands in a closed circle. He’s before. He’s behind. He’s all around. There is victory at every step.

We have victory at every step because He is our help. He can’t fail. He can’t be not enough to meet whatever the need.

One need mentioned is the thirst of the needy. Do you recognize yourself as poor and needy and thirsty for Him?

He will open the rivers and fountains to sustain and satisfy us. That’s not barely enough to just meet the need. That’s an overflowing abundance. That’s the God who comes to your help. He is more, so much more than enough.

Anything else is going to fail us. He is the only enduring thing in the universe. All else is going away. All else is striving after the wind. Nothing else is lasting.

His is the power and the glory and the authority and the kingdom and the victory both now and forever. Amen!
