The River of Life

There’s only mention of the saints doing one thing. They worship God. If worshiping God doesn’t thrill your heart, you aren’t ready for eternity. That’s the incredible eternal destiny of the believer.

The believer is like a tree planted by the waters whose leaves never wither, who never needs to fear. The waters are the Spirit of Life. They continually flow from Jesus to us. He pours out His Spirit. It’s His love poured out. It’s His love poured into us. His love is our life. We live loved. We live to love. Love is our life. It’s what gives us life, now and forever.

It’s a free gift. God’s perfect, eternal love is a free gift. He offers it. The only church in danger of losing its place in this glorious eternity is the one that knows all the right doctrine but isn’t loving the brethren. They knew the doctrine of substitutionary atonement, but there’s no quiz to get into heaven. There’s judgment over whether or not we have loved.

He is coming soon. He will repay each one for what they have done.

Jesus is the first and the last. He is the beginning. He is the end. He will be all we have. Is He all you want?

There’s nothing else in your future. You will have eternity with Him or without Him. You don’t get to take anything else with you.

Is Christ your all? Is He all you want? Are you looking forward to a future with nothing but Jesus?

The liars, the immoral, the haters, the idolaters, they won’t be with Jesus. The ones with white robes, washed in the blood of the Lamb, are those who will be with Jesus.

We’ll eat from the tree of life, the tree Adam and Eve could have eaten from but instead they chose self.

We’ve gone through ALL THIS TROUBLE so we’ll know to choose life.

Have you learned the lesson? Settle your choice.

We’re in a battle. We will battle until it’s finished. Choose. Dig in. Root down in His love. Drink in His waters.

He is coming. Come, Lord Jesus!

The Lord’s grace be with you.

Amen.
