Surrender Into His Hands

Isaiah 64:4 “From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him.”

God acts on behalf of those who wait for Him. If we don’t wait and instead save ourselves, we don’t need a savior. He keeps His distance. Don’t you want Him to draw near, to come and help, to be your savior? Then need Him! Wait for His deliverance.

We need a savior. Our righteous deeds are like a soiled garment. We need saving.

Call out to Him and surrender yourself into His hands.

He is the potter. You are the clay. Let Him break you, press you, mold you, shape and smooth you. Let Him make you into a useful vessel, a vessel of honor, ready for His use.

Jesus had to be broken in order to rise to glory and save us. There’s a process if you want to be used by God and even if you want to be glorified together with Him and raised to life in heaven.

Romans 8:17 says that if we are children, then we are heirs, “heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”

The suffering, the breaking, the kneading as it were, is needful.

Do you want to be an heir with Christ? Then you must identify with Christ not just in His resurrection, but in His death and in His suffering. We don’t get to just pick part of it.

God will come down and shake the mountains and the nations with His presence. Do you want Him to come down and shake things up?

Is the fear of the Lord a terrifying thing to you or a delight?

If your life is in His capable hands, then you are in good hands, hands of tender love and care.
