Sigh and Groan

If God was going to mark all those who sigh and groan over sin, would you be marked? The rest are slaughtered. God begins this judgment at the sanctuary. Judgment begins with the house of God.

Is there sin in the church? Is there sin tolerated in the church? Is there worldliness in the church? Is there worldliness tolerated in the church?

If you think that’s true of other churches and not yours, that’s not true. You probably have some “judgmentalism” and self-righteousness at your church!

Start with yourself. Is there anything in your life that would cause the Lord to sigh and groan? Are there places where you make excuses and justifications for yourself? Get rid of those things!

If there is any addiction, anything that can call you to it and you answer, anything that can direct your choices, get rid of it! God alone should have that role in your life.

Don’t harbor other loves in your heart. We’re to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. All of it is His. Get rid of anything else. Surrender the whole heart to God.

Surrender everything in your life to Him. He’s good and wise. He knows what to do with it.

The judgment is that their deeds will come upon their heads. If you were going to be repaid for what you did, good for good, evil for evil, what would you be paid?

Yes, He forgives sins, but if we’re living in them, they haven’t been removed from our lives! Ask God to take away your sin. Hate it. Want it gone. Sigh and groan until it’s all gone and you are His and He is yours.
