Isaiah 10:22b Destruction is decreed, overflowing with righteousness.

Isaiah 11:3-4  And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear, but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.

Righteous destruction. God will do what is good and right and He will do it with a heart that is motivated by love.

The Righteous Branch will judge with righteousness. He knows the right thing to do and will do it.

If we’re to make the right decisions, we need to not judge a situation by what we see and hear. We need the Spirit of counsel, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, might, and the fear of the Lord to direct us in righteousness.

The Spirit gives us power and wisdom, yes, but also the fear of the Lord. Jesus has His delight in the fear of the Lord. We can delight in it because it’s what guides us on those paths of righteousness for His name sake, so we are rejoiced over and not mourned over.
