Isaiah 6:3 …”Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory!”
I had been asking God about His glory. When we say something like this, what is it we’re saying? What does it mean that the earth is full of His glory? The Lord showed me Exodus 33. What does Moses ask to see and what does God show him in response?
Exodus 33:18-19 Moses said, “Please show me your glory.” And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you…”
He asks to see His glory and God shows him His goodness.
When the temple is dedicated and the glory falls, what do the people standing there say about it? They don’t praise God’s power or majesty. They praise His goodness.
2 Chronicles 7:3 When all the people of Israel saw the fire come down and the glory of the LORD on the temple, they bowed down with their faces to the ground on the pavement and worshiped and gave thanks to the LORD, saying, “For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.”
Isaiah 6:3 …“The whole earth is filled with his glory!”
The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD (from Psalm 33:5).
What’s our response to our gloriously good God?
Psalm 54:6 With a freewill offering…I will give thanks to your name, O Lord, for it is good.
