Rejoice in the God of Your Salvation

God was angry with His people, but then He turns to comfort them. Wrath is not for His children. His comfort is. There is need for discipline, but it’s to restore His child to His arms of comfort, love, mercy, and grace.

God is our salvation, so there is no room for fear. If God is going to save you from whatever it is, can He fail? Can there be fear He won’t pull through?

We need to be looking to Him daily for our salvation. He should be our salvation even in being our strength to make it through each day. We should be reliant on Him. Why wouldn’t we be? What’s the alternative? Rely on ourselves? Rely on the world? It’s all a losing proposition, even if there seems to be temporary help.

He is our salvation. See Him as your help and salvation, whether you are relying on Him for your daily bread or for restoring a relationship. He is what you need. Even if there is no problem, you still need God for your salvation. He is providing your food, even if you have an abundance. Acknowledge your Savior.

Give thanks to Him. Tell of all He has done for you. Do you have a ready testimony?

Sing to the Lord. Celebrate His faithfulness to deliver His people.

Do you have a shout of joy in your heart and on your lips? What has your Savior done for you? What needs to be proclaimed?

Our lives should be joyful songs because we have a Savior. He has saved us and is saving us and will save us!

We can “draw water from the wells of salvation.” His salvation is deep and all-encompassing. Don’t think of God saving you as something that happens when you die. His salvation is for today. Jesus came to take away our sins. Sin is all the trouble. Without sin, we can live in freedom and blessing.

Be joyful in your salvation. Look to God’s hand to save and rejoice!
