Organization

Presents information in logical, interesting sequence that’s easy to follow. Presents information in logical sequence that can be followed. Presentation is difficult to follow because student jumps around.

 

No sequence of information; audience cannot follow presentation.
Subject Knowledge Demonstrates full knowledge; answers all questions and elaborates. Answers most questions and elaborates some. Answers only rudimentary questions and can’t elaborate. No grasp of information; cannot answer questions.

 

 

Visual Aids

Visual aids explain and add to presentation. Visual aids relate to presentation. Visual aids rarely support presen-tation

 

Visual aids are non-existent or don’t support presentation.
Mechanics No misspellings or grammatical errors. No more than two misspellings or grammatical errors. Three mis-spellings or grammatical errors. Four or more misspellings or grammatical errors.
 

Eye contact

Makes eye contact often, rarely looks at notes. Make eye contact much of the time, but returns to notes frequently. Makes occasional eye contact but mostly reads from notes. Makes no eye contact; only reads from notes.
Verbal techniques Uses clear, strong voice and correct pronunciation. Uses clear, strong voice with little pronunciation difficulty. Low, hard-to-hear voice; incorrect pronunciations. Mumbles, uses incorrect pronunciation, too quiet to hear.
