Lamentations 3:26 ESV It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

Quiet. The definition of that Hebrew word is silent. Earlier in the year I had been looking up all the still and silent words to see their meanings, which were varied from taking a stand to relaxing. I’ve come a long way in my growth this year in being still and quiet, though still learning and growing in it.

It started back in the winter when God was answering my prayer about being gentle, and I learned to not make a reply, to not try to defend.

Then this spring He taught me to look to Him. That’s a “be still and see the salvation of the Lord” posture. That one I am still practicing, working on making it a constant, continued state.

When you need salvation in a situation, don’t go looking to the world for relief. Look to Jesus. Let it quiet your soul that He’s your help and savior in it. And wait on Him. He’s got a purpose in it and He wants you to learn to rely on Him.
