Jer. 33:22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered and the sands of the sea cannot be measured, so I will multiply the offspring of David my servant, and the Levitical priests who minister to me.

I thought this was interesting. I’m used to the thought of Abraham’s descendants being as the sands of the sea, but to have priests without number stood out to me. It’s like the multitude in white robes before the throne which cannot be numbered (Rev. 7:9). We are all priests made to minister before Him (Rev. 1:6). We minister to the Lord by our humble obedient service, by that valuable godliness we read about in 1 Tim. 4:8. They don’t come before the throne with bloody sacrifices but with palm branches and with praises on their lips declaring that salvation belongs to God.

1 Tim. 4:10 … we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.

For God so loved the world…God is the Savior of all people. And especially to us who believe.
