1 Timothy 2:12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man…

I mentioned this verse before. I am sure Paul made a wise decision, and I don’t knock any leader today who comes to the same decision. I would just hope they sought the Lord for His wisdom, not just copied someone else who made that decision thousands of years ago in another culture. When I sought the Lord on it, He showed me it was about permission. Paul didn’t permit it, but another leader could. I have the authority to teach these lessons each day because I have permission. That’s how I view it. I have on the website that my husband gives his permission for my teachings to go out. Twice he’s asked me not to publish something and I didn’t. In Christ there is no male or female and God has gifted women with teaching. We have the example of Priscilla teaching a man.

The Lord could have included this verse so we’d know it was okay not to permit a woman to do such things if it wasn’t appropriate!
