Jer. 17:7-8 Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.

Jer. 17:13 …they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters.

Those verses above made me think of these below about those who have washed their robes white in the blood of the Lamb.

Rev. 7:16-17 They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters…

I love the repeated image in Scripture of the tree planted by waters. It’s one of my pictures of abiding, the deep roots that won’t be moved but ever supplied. They will bear much fruit.
