Ez. 20:11; Ps. 107:17; Ez. 20:15, 24, 26; Ps. 107:19-20, 43 Here’s straight scripture from today’s reading combined together.
I gave them my statutes and made known to them my rules, by which, if a person does them, he shall live. Some were fools through their sinful ways, and because of their iniquities suffered affliction. I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land that I had given them,…the most glorious of all lands, because they had not obeyed my rules, but had rejected my statutes and profaned my Sabbaths, and their eyes were set on their fathers’ idols.
I defiled them…that I might devastate them. I did it that they might know that I am the Lord. Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them, and delivered them from their destruction.
Whoever is wise, let him attend to these things; let them consider the steadfast love of the Lord.
