Psalm 119:124-125 Deal with your servant according to your steadfast love, and teach me your statutes. I am your servant; give me understanding, that I may know your testimonies!
What are you asking of the Lord? What is it you want? If you went before the Lord saying, “I am your servant. Deal with me according to your mercy,” what would you be asking for?
Would you be asking to learn and understand God’s word?
Why is God’s word so important? Why would this be his desire, what he sought after, what he asked for based on his standing as recipient of the grace and mercy of God?
To know the Father and His son Jesus Christ is eternal life. Knowing God is a life and death matter and David saw it that way.
vs. 118 You spurn all who go astray from your statutes…
vs. 120 My flesh trembles for fear of you…
vs. 123 My eyes long for your salvation and for the fulfillment of your righteous promise.
We can experience and know Jesus, the Living Word, through the Spirit teaching us His word.
