- “Even a child makes himself known by his acts, by whether his conduct is pure and upright” (vs. 11).
- We are known by our acts. You don’t get to just say you believe in Jesus. You can’t just say you have faith. You can’t just say you love God and others. Your actions will declare the truth, whether those things are true or not.
- If you love God, then you will be obedient to His word, faithful to follow His commandments.
- Do you walk in obedience? Or do you cling to sins? Are you really in love with God?
- If you love others, when you see a brother in need, you will meet the need without expecting return or reward.
- Do you make excuses and justifications for not helping out, or are you ready to help when you see a need?
- If you have faith, then you will trust God and not be afraid and hide and turn to the false security of the world.
- Do you try to protect yourself? Are you trusting God as your shield and defense?
- If you believed in Jesus, you wouldn’t be trying to earn your salvation through good works.
- Do you try to earn answers to prayer through fasting or try to earn healing through declaring truths?
- Do you love the Lord God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength or do you give your attention to other loves?
- It’s not what you say that matters most. It’s what you do.
