God is a righteous judge, and a God who feels indignation every day.
Psalm 7:11 ESV
God is angry every day. David doesn’t seem to think he deserves what’s happening. He’s calling on God to act justly and bring the wicked to an end.
It’s not so different now is it. We see the wicked surround on every side. We pray, “Come quickly, Lord Jesus,” because we want to see an end of evil and the reign of Good.
David describes God as getting His sword and arrows ready. We’re told the violence of violent men would turn back on their own heads. Justice will come. In the meantime God will be angry every day. He hates wickedness (Ps. 45:7). Not that you needed a reference to believe that. It’s not God’s heart that any suffer (Lam. 3:33).
But suffering is needful, so God suffers with being angry every day. Without suffering there is no choice of love. Without suffering there is no salvation. Without suffering we lack in fellowship with Christ. Without suffering there is no redemption of it all.
