“John also was baptizing in Enon near Salim, because there was much water there. They came and were baptized” (John 3:23, WEB).
This verse stood out to me because of its practicality. God understands the details. God knows the needs. He baptized there because there was a lot of water. God doesn’t have to make a special waterfall from heaven to baptize people in a supernatural way. He can use what we have. John had a place with a lot of water, good for baptizing. It’s okay to the look at the practical-ness of a situation. We just need to not limit ourselves to that, putting limits on what God can do because of the practical limitations of a situation.
If God’s put you in a place and you can use it, go ahead. He can move you if He’s got a better plan. We can start with what we know and what we have, trusting that God arranged our being here and has provided what we already got.
See Him in the details. He may already have them all worked out.
