I love the image in Isaiah 46 of God carrying us. He says that He carried us in the womb and will carry us in our old age. He will see us through it all. He is able to because He has declared it. From before you were born, your end was known to Him. He knows His child and can keep your path to get you to Him.

The Lord speaks your life and it will come to pass. The Lord speaks your path and His purpose will be accomplished.

We can still be stubborn of heart. We can fight His purposes. He will create calamity if He needs to in order to get us to Him and on His path. He lets us have free will, but when He needs to, when He chooses to, He can have mercy when He wants to have mercy and can change a heart.

He will put His salvation in Zion. Israel will be saved. He can show mercy on them when it’s the right time. He will be good and just in doing so. He will be perfect in all that He does. He is God and we are not.

Those who are His will be His. He can accomplish it. He knows what will turn a heart and what will harden a heart. And He will be good in all that He does. Pharaoh’s heart was hardened by God giving him exactly what he needed for salvation, humility. God is only good.

Look to God and be saved. No other person or thing can set you free from your captivity. No one else can relieve the burden you carry. God alone saves. God alone is good. God alone is wise. God alone is powerful.

He is all in all.

Give your life over to Him to direct. He will not delay in bringing your salvation. He’ll keep you in His hands.
