God offers His love freely.

We need wisdom and understanding. The Lord says that whoever is wise and discerning let them understand and know that the ways of the Lord are right.

We shouldn’t be questioning this. We should know that the Lord’s ways are right even if they are hard. Ease and comfort seem like the right thing to us. It’s an illusion. It’s the death of us. We need God’s ways. We need to be wise and discerning.

Of course, the wisdom, discernment, and understanding come from the fear of the Lord. We need to start at the beginning.

We need to know that we need God. We desperately need Him. He provides our daily bread and leads us away from temptation. We need Him. We are at His mercy. We need to trust His power and authority as well as all His loving goodness.

We can trust Him because He heals. He loves freely. He doesn’t stay angry. He is the dew to us that makes us blossom.

He brings His people under His shelter. We can dwell in His shadow, as it says in Hosea 14. We read in Psalm 91 all sorts of wonderful protections for those who dwell in the shadow of the Most High.

Choose the Lord’s ways. Sins cause us to stumble. They are literally tripping you up, keeping you from getting where you are going and maybe getting you some skinned and bloodied knees on the way.

Stop looking at yourself as your savior. Look to God and be saved. You can’t help yourself. You do not know what it best. Know you need a Savior.
