They have forgotten their God. He was their salvation. Don’t forget your salvation. For instance, Jesus came to take away your sins. Are you still clinging to them? Don’t forget your salvation!

They forgot. They didn’t remember their Rock of refuge. God was their security, their hiding place.

They forgot. Do you forget He’s your protector, your shield, the place you can run to in order to hide securely?

Do you turn to false saviors to protect you?

Don’t forget your salvation. You have so great a salvation!

Their crops were failing not because God was failing them, but because they had forgotten God.

Why does God let these things happen? He wants you to get to the end of yourself, so you look to Him for salvation. He’s after your salvation and that of everyone else.

Some it will harden their hearts. Some it will soften their hearts.

God says that the people will come to a point where they will look to Him. They will stop looking at the idols, the altars, and their own works for their salvation.

What are you looking to? Do you think you can use your own know-how to solve your problem? Are you searching the internet for “expert” advice? Are you looking to the methods of man and the wisdom of the world? Do you think psychology and neuroscience have the answer?

Can you look to God and trust Him to provide what you need? Can you turn to His word expecting counsel?
