Israel has forgotten its Maker. Europe has forgotten its Maker. America is forgetting its Maker.

We don’t look to God for our salvation. We look to ourselves. We look to man, the “experts.”

God’s people have made idols to their own destruction.

The church in America is full of idols. They have idols of power and growth and even of the Bible and doctrine. It feels impossible to get away from, but what is impossible for man is possible with God. He will bring life back into His church. He will oversee the tearing down of the idols so that He can oversee the building back up.

Why do we forget our Maker? Why do we find it easier to turn to other gods instead of the only proven God and Savior?

When God is silent, when God makes us wait, we lose our faith. We stop looking at Him. We decide He’s not going to do anything so we have to make it happen. We come up with theology like God helps those who help themselves. That’s not Biblical.

If we truly believed God was going to do something in a situation, why would we try to fix it ourselves?  Why do we think we know better than God?

Of course, we wouldn’t say we know better than God. We just act like it. We take matters into our own hands instead of leaving them in God’s hands and letting Him decide when and how to work things out.

People are destroyed for their lack of knowledge. Knowing God is eternal life.

We need to know our God or we’re destroying ourselves. We need to look to Him and keep our eyes on Him. We need to stop looking at ourselves and the world. We need to be holy and separate from self, sin, the world. We need to be with our God. We need to look to Him and be saved.
