Filled with Power

Micah says, “But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might…”

Do you have the Spirit of the Lord in you? Are you filled with justice and might? Are you filled with power?

When the Bible says that we will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on us, it’s talking about power, potential, and ability.

What ability and potential is this power producing and making possible in you?

It’s not for your own glory. It’s not for your success. It’s not for your ministry.

Why did God fill Micah with the Holy Spirit? Here’s the rest of the verse. “…to declare to Jacob his transgression and to Israel his sin.”

Micah had a job to do. He was anointed for the task; the oil of the Spirit was poured out giving him all that he needs to complete his assignment.

You are given power from on high for a job to do. What have you been anointed for? Are you carrying out your task in the power of the Spirit?

We’re all given the single task of loving others. We’re anointed for the task. We have love poured into our hearts by the Spirit given us.

Use your powers for good. Micah also talks about those doing their God-appointed roles for the flesh. They were doing it as a business and making a profit from it.

It says that they are leaning on the Lord. They are looking to the Lord for their own gain. It’s not going to end well for them, even if they make a buck in the meantime.

They think the Lord is with them. They look and sound the part. They call on the Lord, but the Lord is not there and has proclaimed disaster.

Your anointing is for the Lord. Every gift you have, and everything you have has been given you, is for the Lord. It’s from Him and for Him.
