Rev. 14:12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

This word “keep” means to guard. What does it mean to guard our faith?

1 Peter 1:7 talks about the value of our faith, “the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold…”

Genuine faith is more valuable than gold, something worth guarding. When is faith proved genuine? The next part of the verse is “though it is tested by fire.” Faith is proven when it is tested. When has your faith been tested and you didn’t turn to another savior (the world’s solutions), but just looked to God, waited on Him, and saw your salvation?

A Roma man who came to Christ back when we lived in Macedonia had a severe stroke this year. The doctors said he would never walk or talk and that he would be incontinent. His wife took him home, praying the whole time. He was healed in every way by the time they got there.
