Connected

Always show love, especially taking in brethren in Christ. You never know, that could be an angel you’ve taken in. Why do angels need a place to stay? I don’t know what that is all about, but we’re told it could happen and see it in the Old Testament. We know they can appear as people.

We always treat others the way we want to be treated. If we needed a place, would we be thankful for a brother taking us in?

We treat others the way we would want to be treated because we are one Body. We are them and they are us. We need to care about and for those who are persecuted, those beaten, those imprisoned, those losing their homes and even their lives for the sake of Christ.

We are connected. We are one Body. We should act like it.

Our church resources pour into ourselves. Churches mostly give a few pennies on the dollar to any ministry to the unreached and less, if any, specifically to the persecuted church.

Marriage is for husband and wife and no one else is to ever get in the middle of that or turn away to another from that divine relationship.

We are also to keep from the love of money and be content with what we have. Why? Because we have a good Father. Because He hasn’t forsaken us. Because He hasn’t done us wrong. Because He hasn’t neglected to give us good things. Because we don’t lack any good thing in Christ. Because complaining is saying to God He failed you and that you know better or could have done better. As if!

We are to live content and grateful! God is good and He is our God!

Not being content is dishonoring God. We must treat Him with reverence. He is our helper. We can live without fear of lack. Mere mortal can do us no harm; they can only carry out what our perfect God is allowing in His sovereign, only good, and always loving plans.

Rejoice and give thanks.
