Beloved and Kept

What a heritage we have in Christ Jesus. We are beloved and kept of the Father. I love being kept, guarded. He holds me fast. He keeps me in Christ. He causes me to walk in His ways. He completes the work He started. He brings me to Himself.

I took years to learn that I am loved, to learn to live loved. I am free because I know I am loved. I can trust God no matter what’s going on because I am loved. I can freely love others because I am loved.

It sounds like people are getting confused on what’s true. Other teachings have come into the church. Grace has become a means to get what feels good to the flesh.

I was struggling when writing this because I had just seen a viral dance video to a Christian song. It hurt my heart. They were having fun, not glorifying God. They were pleasing themselves, not God.

God’s not pleased because a song is in some ways Christian. God wants us rejoicing, not always somber, but we rejoice in Him! He is our delight. We’re not living for ourselves. We don’t seek fun and entertainment for ourselves. We seek God’s pleasure. We seek to bless God.

Jude says, “You once fully knew it.” He’s losing something he once had secure. He restates some of Isreal’s history. God brings them out of Egypt and then destroys those who didn’t believe.

The angels that didn’t stay in their position of authority are in eternal chains. Don’t try to usurp authority that’s not given to you. God has all the dominion and authority.

These people love money. They love themselves. They grumble. They boast. They go after what their flesh wants. They are worldly. They are ungodly.

Keep in the love of God. Have mercy and compassion for others. Don’t join them in their folly, but seek to save them out of it.

Rely on God for your salvation. He is able to keep you from even stumbling. He is able to present you blameless before God’s throne. With great joy you can approach the Father and make your requests. You are blameless before Him if you come with Jesus.
