A Perfect Man

He is perfect who does not stumble in what he says. He can control the whole body. Is anyone perfect?

Yes! Jesus is perfect. We no longer live, but Christ lives in us. By His faith gift, we can give even our tongues over to Him to keep in His purposes. Trust your whole self to Him to keep, to cause to walk in His ways, to make you understand His ways, to guard your heart, mind, and mouth. Is anything impossible for God?

And if there is a slip, it’s a reminder of what our heart is apart from His precious keeping. And we confess and thank Him for His keeping and acknowledge all He does for us and give it all back into His hands again.

Ask God to use your speech to love, to build up, to glorify Him, to bring Him honor.

There is to be no selfishness among Christians. We don’t want what others have. We aren’t out to get for ourselves. We love others. We are meek.

We are pure, peacemakers, gentle, listening, merciful, sincere. We reap a harvest of righteousness.

What’s being produced in your life?

If you know the right thing to do, do it. Otherwise, you are in sin.

If your life is producing quarrels, you are after the wrong things. You are going after your passions instead of the passion of Christ, His people!

If you are proud, if you love the things of the world, you are an enemy of God. His grace – and we are saved by His grace – is for the humble.

Live in submission to God. That’s how we resist and escape the devil.

We live pure lives with pure hearts and minds and draw near to God.

We humble ourselves. It’s the Lord’s prerogative to exalt us. We only humble ourselves.

We don’t direct our lives. God is in control. Don’t boast in what you will do. Submit your lives to God and submit to His will, knowing He is the one in control.
