- Verse 5 of Proverbs 24 says, “A wise man is strong, and a man of knowledge increases power.”
- Do you want to be strong and powerful? Get wisdom. How? How can we become wise? There is only one way, and it’s by receiving the Spirit of Wisdom.
- Yes, even more than reading the Bible, you need God’s Holy Spirit in order to have wisdom. People can gain all sorts of knowledge about the Bible and not have wisdom.
- There are Jewish scholars who know what is the middle verse of their Bible and the middle letter of the Bible and all sorts of tidbits and facts, but they missed wisdom. They missed Jesus.
- We read the Bible like we eat food, daily and repeatedly. But we do it along with the Holy Spirit as our teacher. He leads us into wisdom.
- The wisdom of this world is nothing but foolishness to God. Don’t be a fool.
- Do you want to build a life, a family, a business, a career, a ministry? If you want to be a builder, you have to have wisdom.
- Here’s verse 3. “By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.”
- You need to value the word of God and its place in your life. The Bible isn’t relegated to Sunday mornings and a daily few minutes. The Bible is your food, your sustenance, what you need to survive. We’re supposed to have it on our minds and on our lips.
- God is what we should be thinking about. His Word should come up in conversation because it’s what is on your mind.
- Seek after God in His word and ask for the Holy Spirit to fill you and teach you His wisdom.
