Sufficient

Nothing comes from us. God makes us sufficient as His ministers. That doesn’t mean a pastor. That just means we carry His word in our heart and we share it with whomever He brings to us, and we’re always shining the light of His Word in our hearts.

It’s His Spirit that brings life. We carry His life in us. Carrying the word without the Spirit is death. Don’t bring the law of death to people. Bring the law of life. God’s word must be infused with the life of the Spirit. Otherwise, you are bringing people condemnation instead of freedom.

There are things, though, that we aren’t sufficient for. Only Christ can touch a heart. We can never change a heart. We are always 1000% reliant on God to bring anyone to faith, to bring anyone to true repentance, to change a heart, to save anyone.

Paul writes about a veil being over their faces. It’s only through Christ that the veil is taken away.

Praise the Lord. Give thanks always. He has revealed Himself to you. He has let you see Him. He has opened your eyes and heart to Him.

Believers see Him without the veil. We behold His glory, His light. We are free in Christ, free in the Spirit. We have His light and life. It’s with us. We never have to seek it again once we have it. We just live in it. We walk in it. It’s our being.

As we walk in the Light, He’s cleansing us and we grow in fellowship with Christ and others, growing in grace, growing into the image of Christ, uniquely and corporately.
