Isaiah 26:3 ESV You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

That “stayed” word is defined by words like to lean and to rest. Our minds are at peace because they are at rest; knowing Him is all we need to know. Our minds can rest in the knowledge of who He is, giving us that grateful trusting confidence which is our peace.

vs. 12 O Lord, you will ordain peace for us, for you have indeed done for us all our works.

Here’s another way the Lord gives us peace. He does all our work for us! How can we fail if He accomplishes all the work? How can we haste? How can we not produce good fruit?

Isaiah 25:1 … you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.

What works has the Lord done? Wonderful things that He had planned from the beginning, good works created for us from the foundation of the world.
