Galatians 1:15 …I did not immediately consult with anyone.
We’re spoiled in America with so much teaching. It’s easy to just consume instead of digging into God’s word and seeking Him on your own. Paul spent years learning from God Himself before he ever became a leader in the church.
Isaiah 17:7 In that day man will look to his Maker…
He learned to look to His Maker.
Galatians 1:10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
If he were looking to please man, he would not be a servant of Christ. That’s a big statement. I remind myself: “I love God alone. I serve God alone. I seek God’s approval alone. I aim to please God alone.” He’s my one and only. My love and service to people is me loving and serving God. They don’t have to thank me or whatever. I don’t need anything back from them because I wasn’t doing it for them, but for God. I only need to know I have His approval and that I’m pleasing Him. And when I love and serve others with a pure love for God, God is glorified.
Galatians 1:24 And they glorified God because of me.
Are there people glorifying God because of you?
