Psalm 45:10-11 …forget your people and your father’s house, and the king will desire your beauty…
If we want the king to desire our beauty, then we need to forget our people and our father’s house. In other words, we need to completely leave our old life behind.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
We are crucified, dead, and buried. Our old family ties to this world are severed. We join a new family and are adopted as sons of God. But it’s for a purpose.
2 Corinthians 5:15 He died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.
Our old life is put to death that we might have new life, one that we live for Jesus.
2 Corinthians 5:21 …that in him we might become the righteousness of God
It’s His righteousness in us, so we would make the right choices and live the right way, in a way that honors God by showing selfless love to others.
God can accomplish His purpose in us.
Job 42:2 I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
