“My son, do not despise the LORD’s discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the LORD reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights” (Proverbs 3:11-12, ESV).

You may be long under a certain struggle. Give thanks. God loves you. God considers you, His child. He delights in you. Don’t grow weary of the blessing God is working in you, and working out through the struggle and suffering of the moment. It may be years in the process, but it’s still just a blip in terms of eternity. God’s answering your prayers to become like Jesus. He’s working in you the righteousness you received from Christ. He’s leading you home to Himself.

In the believer’s life, everything is a love gift from the One who delights in His children. He is working all for your good, and His good is the best. It’s what you want. So be encouraged and thank God for the blessing of the struggle.
