Peace with God

Sin separated us from God. We were destined for God’s wrath, but through Jesus Christ we are restored to peace with God.

Through faith we gain access to God. We stand in His grace. We rejoice in hope.

We rejoice. That’s our stand as Christians, as believers.

We rejoice.

We rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

We rejoice in our sufferings. We rejoice because we have been brought near to God and are at peace and have hope.

Hope doesn’t disappoint us. It’s produced in us by those very same sufferings which produce endurance and godly character in us.

God’s life being produced in us, our taking on God’s nature, is made possible by His Spirit poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. His Spirit in us is His love.

Jesus says rivers of living waters will flow from believers. It’s His Spirit. It’s His love poured into us that should continually pour out to others.

Christ died for the weak and the ungodly. Know who you are without Christ. Nothing.

It was while we were sinners, Christ died for us. You can forgive people who are still sinning against you if Jesus could die for you while you were still a sinner. Jesus died for those nailing Him to the cross. He was dying for those who falsely condemned Him to die.

We are forgiven and we don’t deserve it. We must forgive others who don’t deserve it. Grace is a gift. It’s not earned. Jesus wiped out our debt. Jesus paid for the debt of others too and wiped it out. Join Jesus and remove the sin from your sight. Ask God’s help to not only forgive but to forget. Look forward, not back. Don’t bring it up. Love doesn’t remember wrongs done.

Adam sinned and we all died in our sin. Jesus lived and died and lived again, and we all have access to abundant life through the free gift of grace.

We will reign in this life through the righteousness of Christ, a free gift of God.
