If you recognized that Jesus was leading you, holding you by His right hand, would you be afraid of what was ahead? If you are thinking it depends on what’s ahead, then you are missing who God is.

He’s the God who delights in loving you and doing what is right. Can you trust someone like that, even if it looks like He’s leading you off a cliff?

That reminds me of when we first arrived in Germany ten days after losing our visa for Turkey. Every time I closed my eyes, I would feel like I was falling. The only way to stop it was to open my eyes. In order to fall asleep, I had to let myself fall. They were like lucid dreams. I would try to hold onto something. I never could. I just had to let myself fall until Jesus caught me. Sometimes quickly. Sometimes it took awhile. But He always did.
