“Financial peace” doesn’t come from having savings stored up, or insurance to back you up, nor from building wealth to rely on to provide for you. That’s the world’s version of financial peace. Jesus says He gives us peace, but that it’s not as the world gives.
Ps. 96:2 Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.
Here’s a story of the Lord’s salvation and financial peace. When Nathaniel was in the NICU in Turkey for two months, the hospital bill racked up to over $100,000. I don’t have an exact figure, but it was well out of reach of our bank account. I didn’t worry about it.
We never paid a penny. We never did a thing. Someone at the hospital saw that we didn’t have insurance and took it upon himself to pull strings and get us on the insurance for Turkish citizens to cover it all.
