2 Tim. 3:12 Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

Persecution is something that all Christians should experience since surely all should desire godly lives.

Even apart from our mission work, we’ve been persecuted by nonbelievers, those who just didn’t like our expression of faith. But most of the persecution I’ve faced is from other believers, like the apostles facing most of their opposition from the religious establishment, even those who called themselves Christians, who have an “appearance of godliness.” I first experienced persecution within months of being baptized in the Spirit.

Persecution is something all believers experience, just like the discipline I’ve recently shared about.

But in it all, the Lord’s intentions are always good.

Ps. 94:12-13 Blessed is the man whom you discipline,…to give him rest from days of trouble…

2 Tim. 3:11 …which persecutions I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me.
