Jer. 26:3 It may be they will listen, and every one turn from his evil way, that I may relent of the disaster that I intend to do to them because of their evil deeds.

I love how God is the biggest optimist ever.

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful…(1 Cor. 13:7).

God gives the people a choice, life or death, the choice He gives all of us. He knows they will be killed or go to Babylon. Babylon thinks they are all that, but it was God’s doing. God had ordained that the nations would serve the king of Babylon.

Jer. 27:13 Why will you and your people die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, as the Lord has spoken concerning any nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?

But even with the warnings, the Lord speaks hope.

Jer. 27:22 They shall be carried to Babylon and remain there until the day when I visit them, declares the Lord. Then I will bring them back and restore them to this place.

He remains faithful.

2 Thess. 3:3 But the Lord is faithful…
