…they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

Ez. 11:20

Here’s 1 of 4 miracles this week.

Joshua, my oldest son, is moving to Florida this Saturday (at the time of writing). He’s taking one of our two cars, which he’ll return at Thanksgiving. On Thursday, the car wouldn’t start. It didn’t recognize the key. I prayed and it was the same. I showed Joshua where I kept a spare battery in the glove compartment and suggested he try replacing it even though it never said low battery. He did, but it still didn’t work. He asked if we could get a new key. I said, “Sure. Have the car towed, and spend at least half a day and $500. Or, you could pray. You’re going to have to pray for these things when you are on your own.” He prayed. It worked. I guess he is ready to be the man of the house.

It was so perfect of our Father to give him this easy faith victory. It reminded me of the “practice” we’ve talked about. He didn’t require him to hold onto faith and wait until the last minute. He gave him the win. It certainly encouraged us both.
