“in him is the Spirit of the Holy God” (from Daniel 4:8)

Can people tell that the Spirit of the Holy God is in you? How?

In 2 Peter we read a long list of things that we should be diligently applying to our lives. One is knowledge, gaining information. However, a different Greek word is translated knowledge and is used twice here.

2 Peter 1:2-3 “May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him…”

This “knowledge” could be described as knowledge from first-hand experience. That knowing comes from an intimate, vibrant, growing relationship with the Lord. That’s the kind of knowing that will produce in you the life of the Spirit that others will notice because it’s knowledge that affords us all we need for a godly life.

We’re to know Him and make Him known. Receive His light and let it shine. Let them see Him in and through you.
