If God is going to give you over to what you desire, make sure it is Him. There are those that have desired after power and have been given over to demonic spirits. There are those that desired after being accepted and have been given over to the culture. There are those that desired after popularity and have been given over to it, those that love their doctrine…there’s a long list of how the church has been judged by her lusts, just as Israel was.

What’s on your mind? What are you giving your time, money, and attention to? What’s in your heart? Ask God for a pure heart. They are the ones who see God.

Could you joyfully accept the loss of all things?
