Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him.”

John 9:3 ESV

I haven’t told you any healing stories yet. We heard one yesterday from my husband’s partner in the Bible translation, Samir. He currently lives in Germany. Last week, he fell off his scooter going to work. He was taken by ambulance, and his arm put in a cast. He was told he’d need surgery and that he would have to be off work for 6 weeks. Since he was on the way to work, it is considered a work injury. That meant his job was held for him, and he received full pay while he was out. He went in to see the surgeon a couple of days later. He took his own x-ray, declared there was no break, and took off the cast. The doctors are at a loss. The paperwork was already done, so Samir is required to take the time off work! We prayed for healing and no surgery, but my husband also prayed for more time for translating. God didn’t break his arm, but God had a purpose. He does more than we can imagine. He’s working in Samir and in Samir’s wife and children through all this. He could be working on those doctors, people from Samir’s work. We don’t know. It’s always more than we could ask or imagine.
