You shall eat old store long kept, and you shall clear out the old to make way for the new.
Leviticus 26:10 ESV
I asked the Lord about this because I didn’t know what it would mean for us. I think we could compare it to the teaching of not putting new wine in old wineskins.
The verse has both that they are eating the old and preparing for the new.
One of the things that has to happen is a clearing out of the old. It wasn’t bad, still consumable, but it would use up space which could be used for the new.
We need to prepare the space to receive the new. Old ways and patterns need to be let go of. Last year God removed all the “other” from my life. All TV/movies/streaming is gone. Line dancing and tap class, gone. My fun is Bible reading. My relaxing is prayer and worship. I’m all Jesus all the time.
Revival prayer from Psalm 45 today… Gird your sword, Lord. Ride out victoriously bringing humility, truth, and righteousness…
