“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it” (John 1:5, NLT).

The darkness can NEVER extinguish the light. The darker the culture gets, the fiercer the persecution, the greater the threat, the brighter the light. It doesn’t put out the light of Christ. It doesn’t hide it. It can’t cover it. Light seems brighter the darker it gets. Christ’s light doesn’t fade, but in the daylight, it would never appear as bright as in the dark of night.

It’s almost like we need the dark to be able to shine the light of Christ. The trials, the struggles, the problems in each day: see them as God’s blessing to give you the opportunity to shine.
