“Perhaps they will listen and turn from their evil ways. Then I will change my mind about the disaster I am ready to pour out on them because of their sins” (Jeremiah 26:3, NLT).
I shared a lesson before on how God carefully planned Jerusalem’s destruction (Lesson 42). He knew just what would happen. But God has other plans too. His desire is not to destroy the city and His people. His desire is to save them and prosper them.
He warns and warns and warns and hopes. He says, “Maybe they will listen and I can not carry this out.” He knows they won’t listen, but He continues to hope. Love believes all things. God’s heart is only for the good of His children. He will never give up hope on you, on your loved ones. He will keep working on your behalf. He will keep doing everything He can to preserve you for His heavenly kingdom. God won’t give up on you and your situation. Don’t give up on God. Hope. Believe. Love believes all things.
