The rich young ruler felt like he couldn’t give up his wealth. Pharaoh was caught in a sin, repent, repeat cycle.

If you have a love other than Christ, like the rich young ruler, or a sin, like Pharaoh, that feels like you couldn’t give it up, know that it feels impossible because it is impossible for man. But also know that with God it is possible.

Jesus saves us from ourselves and gives us new life. We make the choice to die to self and give up our lives, surrendering all to Him, and He does the work of changing our hearts and minds, working in us what He wills and wants for us.

Don’t be trapped by sin or entangled in the world. Jesus came to set us free.
