To get through these next chapters, we need to just keep looking with a broad perspective and not get lost in the details and in trying to figure out what they mean.

Once this end-times timeline starts unfolding, it will be brought to an end. At the point we’re at, there’s no more delay.

John is told he’s going to prophesy again to the people.

Then we’re told of two prophets, but we’re told these are two olive trees and two lampstands. The olive tree is Israel. The lampstand is the church. This doesn’t at all have to mean two people.

We have the “144,000” sealed believers on earth. Do these have something to do with this? Will they be prophesying and then martyred and then they get their resurrection and rapture that they missed out on the first time?

Now things can really be destroyed. All of God’s people have been removed.

God was never after death and destruction. This all had a glorious point. Don’t lose the point.

God has been preparing a special possession for Himself, a bride, a people zealous for good works.

He will reign. Jesus will come in power and rule on this earth.

He will come and judge. For the saint, for God’s servants, that means a time of reward. There is no fear of punishment for those perfected in love.

There are many times of completion in the Bible. It was finished before the foundation of the world. It was finished on the cross. It was finished when Jesus returns to reign. There is still another “it is finished” to come even after that.
